  1. It looks very good. And hand stitching like that builds character and calluses.
  2. I don't think you can get rubber cement off the back. Maybe contact cement the liner over it.
  3. I'd pick up the Tandy Eco Flo product brochure. The color samples in the brochure are pretty close. Alternately, go to the store and ask the manbager if you can try samples from his class supplies. My guess is that Briar Brown is closest.

    Arbor Press

Some great ideas here. I was at Harbor Freight yesterday. Had to take a rain check. But he 1/2 ton arbor was on sale for $32.99. Great deal. They gave me rain check and a 20% discount coupon.

    Arbor Press

How would I modify the Harbor Freight arbor pressto stamp? The press looks like it has a flat, square foot.
  6. Bah! No facebook account. Can't see anything.
  7. I am always impressed with the depth of your carving.
  8. The lettering on the cover-is that gold foil blind stamping or did you paint it? Your work is impressive.
  9. Tandy sells a bunch of it. Order the utility grade and play with a piece of it.
  10. I've printed several patterns on plain white paper. Taped them to tracing film and then traced onto the leather. Works fine. And saves the step of tracing onto film.
  11. Nice work. I'd likie to see some inside pictures, too.
  12. For mallets, Garland. http://www.garlandmfg.com/mallets/products.html

    Japanese Style

Which ABOK number? Looks like simple 6 or 8 strand round crowning to me, but that's a guess.
  14. What widths are you doing the collars in? I so 5/8" and 1" only. Also, I've started using three rivets and adding a little square welded keeper. Looks nice and make the collar tidier. Nice looking display.
  15. Maybe I could do it. Where did you get the how to?
  16. If you don't have my new maul finished yet, I'd be your friend if you sent me one of those, too. (Nice work.)
  17. The pliability of the bulbous end of the dev ice when soaked is the key to the success of the article as the delivery system for the hygeine product. One squeeze on the bulbousn end and the product is delivered. The key was to pour in the product and immediately rest the object in a nozzle upright position for a few minutes until pliability occured. Whether the article in inherently unhygenic would seem to be in the eye of the beholder. The use of the object as a powder flask was ruled out due to its cleanliness.
  18. Actually, it was used in the harem. But in none of the ways suggested. It is a feminine hygeine device.
  19. My guess is that a bench grinder will run too fast for burnishing. Gary (leatherman1457) has begun making some drill attachment burnishers, which are nice. But I would not run it at the top speed of my drill for burnishing.
  20. I didn't get the pictures to post. Maybe this will be better.
  21. Looks nice. I would be your friend if you made one for me.
  22. Be sure to list good quality stuff. You probably do not want a mention on www.regretsy.com
  23. I finally finished this Marketplace Purse. I have way too much time in it, but I don't think it's too bad for a relative novice. And I learned a lot doing it and had a good time doing it. http://leatherworker.net/forum/uploads/1275413490/gallery_11190_426_245906.jpg http://leatherworker.net/forum/uploads/1275413490/gallery_11190_426_481947.jpg The roses are all from Peter Mains book of the Stohlman Personal Pattern Collection, Vol. 1.
