  2. Hi Arno. It's almost right in the braiding. Small mistake that I did not notice till it was too late. But I did think it was a neat mistake. The mistake is at the bottom end. It is a Pineapple knot. Thanks for the kind comment Arno. Yep. I did not see that mistake till it was too late. Good eyes Miguel. B...

  4. This is what I was trying to say in an earlier post. It all depends on the patter you are looking for as to how hard or how easy and quick your braiding will be. If you desire the over 1, under 1 pattern then it's the hard way. If it is another pattern like under 1, over 2, or the half round braid then it's the easy and quick way. It's all dependent on the pattern you seek to use. B...
  5. The more you do this the quicker you get at it. The more your skills become apart of your braiding technique, or your kind of touch with the strings. I don't do a ton of leashes. But the more strands I use that I have not done before the more time I find it takes. But well worth it in the end product for me. B...

    Recent Work.

So here's a lanyard that I had been working on last month. I sent it off to my friend in NJ about a couple of weeks ago. I was just waiting to show this until someone else got there package. The below is a Split T-Braid. This is where I combined 2 braids from the top right and left sides and brought them together in the center top and then braided down the shaft of the lanyard as you see in the photo. Some Fid Work and the knots are 3 pass Pineapples. And the whole picture of the finished work. Best regards, B...
  10. Thanks lilpep. I especially like the star that is formed at the top of that heel(pk) knot. B...
  11. Got those about 2 or 3yrs ago from a marine supply store in Seattle. Can't remember the name of the place right off though. Been too long ago. And thanks to all those who left very kind comments. B...
  12. Steal away me amigo. There have been others to use the same idea before me. LOL... I just did not think of it till last minute for the photo. I had almost forgotten that I had a few of those turn buckles laying around. I saw one of my colleagues photos with one in it of a bell rope with the turn buckle on it and thought that would look kind of neat on that key fob. Then I remembered I had a few of them laying around. LOL... Thanks all for the kind comments. B...
  13. Miguel. Stop with your insults please. I am only going to ask you this so many times dude. So, please stop acting like a damn adolescent. Brian...
  14. Well I said I would post the other Key Fob project I was working on as soon as I got it done. In the following photos is a six strand half round braid pressed out, or blocked into a rectangular shape, and a 4 pass heel knot that started out as a 7part 6bight casa knot. Hope my friend which lives not too far from me likes the new key fob. B...
  15. There are 3 or 4 different colors I love to use. Thanks for the kind comment. I have yet to do the 16 string. I am still playing with the 12 for now. Once I get that one out of my blood per say, I'll move on to the next one. That turn buckle was actually a last minute thought before taking that photo. I thought it might add a little more punch to the shoot. The best thing about that turn buckle is that it is all stainless steel and is a 3/8 inch size. So it was small enough to use with the fob. Gave it some meat actually. LOL B...

  17. This is a key fob for a friend of mine in Florida. It's a 12 strand herringbone coded round braid pressed out to a flat block style. It has an over 2, under 2, over 2 sequence. Johanna... I hope that the storm has blown over... B...
  18. Yes. It will work if you're paying attention to the thong. Just about any casa knot can be tied with lace. I mean just about any. I have only found a few that can not be tied in lace. These were modified turks heads that would not lend itself to the lace as you say. B...
