  1. You can usually get right around 2 spools of lace @ 1/8 inch wide. In other words about 50yrds and in some cases after stretching a little more. At least that's my experience.
  2. Beautiful work Brett. One day I'm gonna try to make something for that emerging artist. Brian...

  6. If you're referring to the end clasp, it does come apart. It's a stainless steel interlocking mag clasp. Thank you for the very kind comment also. I buy the clasps at pandahall.com... I know china. But they're the only ones that make them like this and the cost is not as bad as other wholesale places. Brian...
  7. No. I don't use a dowel. I just braid it like I would any other braid.
  8. I use a tandy roller and stick the piece in between two pieces of wood so that the edges are hanging out just as far as the side bights allow. Then c-clamp both sides of the press so as to hold it all in place and then I use my tandy roller to roll the edges square like you see in the photo.
  9. Thank you all for the very kind and gracious comments. @GrampaJoel I use super glue and if I don't have any of that I use Z-Poxy 2 part resin. It's clear and may take a bit longer to dry. But it's solid when it does dry. Brian... Thanks brother. Coming from you that means a whole bunch bro.
  10. Thanks Peter.
  11. Thanks Buck. Brian..
  12. No core at all. Just a 12 strand round braid flattened out. Yes. I cut all my own string. Brian...

  21. For which knot? Brian..
  22. Well. That's the thing with pre-cut kangaroo lace. Sometimes that card board feeling comes from the lace sitting on the shelf too long. Before you cut that stuff you should try to bring it back to life with some hide cream. Let that sit awhile and then try to split it. You might find that it works a bit better that way. I started buying my own hides years ago and cutting my own lace because of that. Once I did that, I never returned to spool lace. Brian...
  23. For the anchored ones I use a ring knot as the base and then some 2 part plumbers putty that you can mold to the shape you want. For the movable knots I just use the ring knot. @TXAG: You're very welcome. Brian..
