You should be able to add the stitch to the center piece quite easily. Outside of this I can't do anymore. Brian...
  3. No I don't think so bro.
  4. Well at any rate I think I'm about secluded with this topic. So attached is a grid representation of that knot. It might not be exact because I can not get an accurate count of the parts or bights from the damn photos. Good luck... 11parts by 21bights - Ginfer Now I go back to get some of my own braiding done. B...
  5. What promotions are you talkin about?
  6. Well let's see if you can make this ginfer knot from these pdf files. If you can make this one you should be able to stitch around the one in the pdf file. Attached: Illustration pdf GinferKnot9x8.pdf Written Instructions. GinferKnot9x8Instructions.pdf Brian...
  7. I don't think that it has to be the same as the one you see pictured. You should be able to work that stitch into any sized ginefer knot. Brian...
  8. Yep. It's a Ginefer knot. Brian...
  9. A tutorial on that. It was too large to upload to here. Zip file contains a pdf document. http://www.khww.net/books/GauchoRingKnot-RingOfSaturn.zip Brian...
  10. Can't get the photo to show up. Please insert the photo here so we can see what you're takin about.
  11. I'd run a core for a few inches or so. This will give the braid some static to hold the dropped strings in place.
  12. I agree with Sovarn on the account of, it's easier to drop strands than to add.
  13. Let me see if I'm getting this picture right. You need a flat braid 4 inches long by a 1/2 inch wide? Correct? Then you need to go back to a 4 strand round braid? Correct? How's this all going to come together at the point of the round braiding? Is this one of those leads you put through a loop, like a cinch type lead, or something else you have in mind? I would consider doing a 6 strand flat braid and then dropping enough strands to do your 4 strand round braids. Brian...

I think I'll stick with the color that I got on this. I kinda like it and it will pop with the natural against it. Take a gander at the dyed lace. Natural The Columbian Coffee as dark as I could get it. (STRONG TOO) LOL... After 24hrs in the container. Brian...

  19. Thanks. But we'll see if he likes the idea of that kind of work... It's pretty when done though. Never done any of that yet myself. Brian...
  20. Quill braiding(a lot like embroidery) is another option I would consider. Might take a bit longer to do that type of job. But it will garantee that the leather will sit down and behave itself like it should. Brian...
  21. If you have Ron Edwards book Round Knots Advanced Leather Braiding volume 2. He give a good show of a braided knife sheath.
  22. You can usually get right around 2 spools of lace @ 1/8 inch wide. In other words about 50yrds and in some cases after stretching a little more. At least that's my experience.
  23. Beautiful work Brett. One day I'm gonna try to make something for that emerging artist. Brian...
  24. Okay... You're welcome... I love Ron's books. Just Wish I could afford all of them.
