  1. Microsoft Picture Manager comes on most PC's, but is free software. You can resize with it.
  2. I am starting to highlight my carvings with different colors of Fiebings pro oil dyes. I'm looking for advise on the type of brush I can use for smaller detail. The brush will need to hold it's shape and come to a small point. I don't know anything about brushes or the materials that they are made of that would be best for alcohol based dyes. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! John
  3. Large syringe...great idea! I think I have one for injecting seasoning for deep frying a turkey. Thanks guys!
  4. It might just be me or my shaky hands, but it there a way to mix/cut Fiebings dye with denatured alcohol without spilling the dye and making a mess? The dye always runs back down the bottle when I'm pouring it. Thanks, John
  5. Mini5, where can I buy your tools?
  6. Yes Camano, that is the style except that it's not a revolver.
  7. I'm thinking about making a Skeleton shoulder rig for a FN 5-7 and I need some help. Where can I find the metal retention clips? Could I cut and form some thick kydex and wrap it with leather as a DYI clip? Would it create enough retention? How wide should I make it. I have no experience with kydex, but I figure I might not be able to find a metal clip. Thanks,
  8. I just bought a bunch of feibings pro oil dye on ebay through Zelokovitz leather. If buying more than one bottle, make sure you request a price since they reduce shipping costs for multiple items. quick shipping too.
  9. I would like the slim Barry King Handle. Do you take paypal? I would like to buy the small Barry King Handle. Do you take paypal?
  10. Beautiful. I'd love to see you post a coloring technique tutorial for this forum!
  11. I have been using the braided thread from Ebay. I'm very happy with it. I've heard it's not as strong as tiger thread, but I'm not making saddles or horse tack. I've used tiger thread and I really don't see much difference except for the price.
  12. Your sheath compliments your father's gift! Well done!
  13. Black River Laser at Ebay makes a pretty cool template. I haven't bought one yet, but I will soon.
  14. I dilute Fiebings tan dye 2:1, and 4:1 when I'm applying antique on top of it.
  15. One of my better carvings. All my lurking must be paying off!
  16. Wow...thanks! This will come in handy.
  17. I think you replace the first number with the first letter of the tool type, in this case a B for beveler. Look up a B970 beveler.
  18. I don't know what the specific tool is, but many modify an F910 figure carving stamp to do the same thing.
  19. I can't see your pictures. First thought is what was the fiebings's finish/resist did you use. Also, try to let the resist dry 24 hours before you apply the antique.
