  13. A few years back, I was cutting out a pair of chinks and had some spots like that. Got to looking and found it to be lead buckshot. About a #8 shot to be exact. Always wondered what the whole story was behind it. Probably a cow that kept crawling out and eating the neighbors grass...??? Sure added character to the chinks !----------------------Bill
  14. I don't call myself a harness maker or a saddle maker. Although I have repaired everything on a harness or a saddle. I call myself a saddle and harness repairman. As soon as I get to town, I will go to the Post Office and see what the shipping costs will be. Then I will send you a PM with my address and the amount. Thanks------------------Bill

  19. I just picked up this old Hereford saddle that is in really good shape. I have a question on the stirrup leathers. Are they supposed to be through the D's like that or what ? This is about the 4th one I've had come in my shop that way. Doesn't look right to me. Also if anyone is interested, I will sell this saddle as is.($400) I have trouble selling them in my area as they are a little narrow for our ranch horses and not too many collectors around either. I hope I can get the picture to load---------------Bill

    Treadle Stand

This original #3 Landis top is about 14" x 33". Your top should screw on there some how. I think the legs would ship. They would have to go through the postal service cause that is all we have in our little town.----------------------Bill
  21. I could also use a pattern for a set of monkey nose tapaderos. Can anyone help us?-----------------Bill

    Treadle Stand

Jim, Here is a picture of my #3 with the home made stand and motor that was on it when I bought it. The other 2 pics are the cast iron legs and I think the original wood top for it. If you, or anyone else, can use the legs and top, make me a good offer as I will probably never use them. Remember I am in South Dakota so keep that in mind as far as the shipping cost.--------------Bill

    Treadle Stand

I have the cast iron legs for a #3 but I never got the pedals. Mine has been converted to an electric motor and a new table was built. The pedals were tossed by the previous owner. If these legs will help you I could just as well sell them. Good Luck --------------------Bill
  24. Weaver Leather sells them, but they are stainless steel rather than brass. ----------Bill
