  1. Hi Steve A picture of the holster would be helpful. I did something similar, and ended up adding a camouflage stamp to it and the problem was fixed. Maybe you could bevel over the area. You could try to repeat the problem on a scrap piece of leather and try out different possible solutions before you do anything to your holster... Hope this helps
  2. Exactly my thoughts when I looked at this... I love your work. I love the way you lay out your work! Great designs - I love your style! Happy New Year!

  6. I bet this thread is why Springfield is out of the plastic bevelers... On Thursday I tried to order a couple of the 'Beveler Plastic Blade" from Springfield Leather and they called me to say that it would be 3 weeks before they would be in stock again - and to re-order in three weeks. Springfield Leather - Beveler Plastic Blade http://springfieldle...tore/search.asp I had bought one from Springfield last July and this thread reminded me I had one but had not tried it yet. Well, I have tried it now and Thanks to this thread I see that it is Very handy for straight beveling... Now I wanted another, but ordered too late to get one for a Christmas present… Doing a Google search I found another style of the swivel knife plastic beveler at Etsy called the "Speedy Beveler tip for swivel knives" It looks like they have a couple of different styles available there. Etsy - Speedy Beveler http://www.etsy.com/...r-swivel-knives Hope this helps

  8. Me Too - Thank you Ray - "laughing" that is too funny! Being a Business owner, we need to be careful about how we 'treat our customers', But that person obviously had a big problem with communication, among other things... I think what you said and did was Brilliant. Hopefully that will make them re-think their approach next time they 'have a problem'. You'll have to let us know if they call back again

  16. Hi Kevin I didn't see if you mentioned if your lettter's need to be straight or round. I thought I'd mention I figured out how to put letters in a circle on coasters and thought i'd put a link to that info here, just in case it might be of help... stamping circular letters Although it does kinda sound like the quality of your stamps is a big problem, and that is a drag...... I found this picture over on songofthepaddle where MagiKelly has a tutorial for making a leather journal cover. I thought this might be helpful Good luck with your project.
