  1. Haha! I'd have to have my German friend translate for me. Well at least with this newfangled internet thingy translations are getting easier.
  2. Are copies of the manual available? I picked up two of them, and need a manual, so I know how to operate it correctly.
  3. I know an artist who is killing it in sales, and he sells many of his works off of his FB page. One thing he does is that he keeps his phone, and laptop next to him while he works. That way he can respond instantly to the comments made on his art. He starts with pics of a rough sketch, and may ask "Who is it?" if it is a portrait of a famous person. By doing this he starts to draw in the fans as they start posting their guesses. He continues to post progress pictures of the painting until it is done, which may be from a few hours to a day later. I have seen paintings sell within 15 minutes from when he posts the final pic with the price. BTW the paintings are in the $300-$500 range. His higher end paintings- $700 to $10,000 are sold through his gallery, but FB plays a big role in sales.
  4. Get the book Entreleadership by Dave Ramsey, you can find it on his website.
  5. Well, if you listen to Dave Ramsey you'd hear that the only ship that doesn't float is a partnership. What about you owning the company, and having someone in as an employee, or as a contractor? Less legal hassles if, and when things go South-as many partnerships do. I'd say look at Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada. We don't have any state income tax, as well as many business taxes are also not applicable. Buildings are a bargain now. I put almost 40 years in N.Cal (bay area), and have NO desire to go back to that train wreck of a state.
  6. I would pass on key rings, I have tons already that are not being used. Sell, or use them for stacked knife/maul handles.
  7. I say get it, and keep it for that price, looks like it was hardly used at all.
  8. Depending on who made the letter stamps---my local Tandy had some singles available from incomplete sets they got in. The companies generally don't sell single letters. I even have a couple of ophans in my tool rack that I couldn't see tossing in case someone might need them.
  9. Sounds like you already know where to check. Yes , good auto parts stores carry various sized belts, as well as good old fashioned hardware stores.
  10. What do you consider to be major repairs? Fabrication covers a lot of ground, so pics, or drawings would be helpful.
  11. Yep, as a firearms enthusiast I won't use PayPal, and try to avoid EbAY at all costs due to their policies.
  12. I've seen worse sell for more. Looks can be deceiving. How tight is the machine, is it smooth, does it work as it should? Cosmetics can be cleaned up at home. I wouldn't pass on it if it operates as it should. Hell, it may be worth more as parts if they are not available as mentioned earlier. But I wouldn't part it out unless it was non operable / fixable
  13. It goes in cycles. 7.62x39 was $60 a case of 1,000, then $350 in a matter of months back around 2006-7 thanks to the U.N. getting involved with international ammo sales. We were selling 8mm surplus by the pallet load. Everytime the govt gets a bug up there ass about guns, primers, ammo, etc it starts a frenzy. I am a bit worried this time though due to who we have in the White House at the moment. I don't think it will cause a run on leather holsters----Kydex, and Cordura maybe, but not leather since most of what is being sold are "tactical" firearms.
  14. This could get expensive. If someone has the capability to do one on a laser (4th axis capability) with plastic it will be the least expensive. To have it engraved, or cast won't be cheap.
  15. I'd say if you have enough oil on it to wick away you have too much.
  16. I'd look into using Sno-Seal on it. Did you use pop rivets on the corners?
  17. Lay some heavy plastic over the machine, and shoot some expanding foam into the crate to get a form fitting interior. Just like the pros do. You can get cans of the foam at any big box store like Home Depot
  18. Welcome to LW from the desert of Southern Nevada, just outside of Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada.
  19. That would be easy enough to make from some brass flatstock, and some rod. When do you need it by? www.iforgeiron.com may have someone in your area, I am across the country in NV
  20. AH, Canada, or should that be O Canada? That makes a BIG difference in shipping.
  21. Look up vegan leather in the forums, there have been a couple of threads on this recently. IIRC Springfield Leather was offering such. The hides were from bovines that met their maker in a natural way.
