  5. I completed this the other day. 2 pieces of 5/6 HO leather with heavy duck canvas inlay stitched with 207 thread. This was fun to make.
  6. Wishful I bought this on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/INDUSTRIAL-SEWING-MACHINE-SPEED-REDUCER-NEW-IDEAL-FOR-LEATHER-SEWING-/261406820074?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cdd0f86ea
  7. New design for me. I used 2 pieces 4/5 HO to sandwich some white kangaroo leather. I cut out the stamped letters with an exacto knife. First project since installing my speed reducer on my sewing machine and it was money well spent. The control with punching power now is superb!! ftw inlay.MOV

  10. Hello all I have a Techsew 2700 with a servo motor. When I slow the motor down I have issues getting through thicker leather but when I increase speed I can sew it no problem but lose control. My questions If I install a speed reducer can I leave the speed set to high on the motor and slow the needle speed down but keep the force to sew the thicker leather? I have seen different size reducers 3"/6"/9" or the 2"/6" I think I want the slowest needle speed with highest torque. Any insight here would be great.
  11. behind the card slots is a piece of nylon to hold the card slots. If you search my posts you'll see how I do it no problem that is what I love about this forum all the help everyone shares.... I do them both ways just depends on the design for me.
  12. So the name of my leather shop is MotherGoose Custom Leather so I made this wallet for myself. I thought it was funny that a goose has blackened a cow's eye and taking it back to the workshop to make some fine leather goods. As always made from Herman Oak and laced with kangaroo
