Thanks everyone. -
Finished a Laptop bag for my sister.

Wish I would have read this an hour ago. I just airbrushed a piece with Fiebing's Tan, and am not very happy with the results. Your holster is the color I was looking for.

That looks awesome.

.380 Auto Cellphone Case
jstar61 replied to kevlar34's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Nice work. I don't really care for the orientation of the firearm, seems like it would be very cumbersome to draw. -
Finished up a knife sheath today. This is for a beautiful custom knife that my Niece's husband had made by Jonathan of DogHouse Forge, from an old farrier's rasp. The handle of the knife is wood from a black cherry tree off their farm. The sheath is made from Herman Oaks veg tan leather and dyed with oxblood and mahogany colored dye. It can be worn directly on a belt or as a dangler. It holds a firestarter on the side and the pouch holds a small sharpening stone.

Sneaky Pete Type Holster

RRu Ruger LCP Custom. One thing I would be concerned about is the trigger not being covered. -
Sneaky Pete Type Holster

Looks good Chief. Pretty big pistol for that type holster though. -
That was my thinking electrathon. Thanks.

I would appreciate any help you all can give. I have a sheath that I intended to seal with sno-seal. It was wet formed from veg tan, dyed with fiebings dye and oiled with neatsfoot oil. My question is should I apply resolene or supersheen if I am using Sno-seal? This is a sheath for a very nice custom knife my niece's husband had made, but he plans on useing it daily around their farm, so I want it to hold up well.

My Version Of A Sneaky Pete Holster.
jstar61 replied to jstar61's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thanks all. It's not something I would use as EDC. Mainly just when walking around in shorts and a t shirt, and don't want to have the bulk of a larger piece. bland it's a LCP Custom. The retention is pretty good, due to the wet molding. It's not as big as it looks in the last pic. Not much bigger than the newer larger phones when they are in an Otter case. snubbyfan, I was originally going to go with magnets, but wanted something a bit more secure. The stud just takes a bit of practice to get used to. Still much less fumbling than trying to draw from a pocket holster. -

Thanks. Dan, I tried to persuade him to go with straps, but that is what he wanted. Said he wanted it simple and clean looking.

I just wasn't sure if it would benefit from any conditioner or additional treatment.
