  3. Thanks guys
  4. I picked up a beat up old Singer that appears to be a 111W but the model tag is missing. is there any way to tell for sure if this is a 111w155 or other? I am making the determination on the fact that I can get better than 5 stiches per inch - a unique feature of the 111w155 I think - and a few other things like to safety clutch.
  5. Good use of available resouces. Turned out nice.
  6. Yes, you are correct that it is the longer pin for the tension disc assembly - figured it just after posting but I appreciate your response. SO, does anything actually attach and hold it in os is it just the pressure from the tension disk assembly? Regards.
  7. I was refurbishing a Singer 111w155 and a part fell out. It appears to be the rod release (235576) but I cannot figure out where it goes. All seems to be working ok but left over parts worry me . Any ideas or pix?
  8. Tandy also has sides for $59 http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/en-usd/search/searchresults/9157-87.aspx I just got a 2/3 oz for that price.
  9. The singer post bed I have is about 21x7 so I have a second table for it.
  10. Most of the singer manuals are online at http://parts.singerco.com/IPinstManuals/ apply lots of oil as wiz says and look to youtube for repairs and sewing tips
