Beautiful workmanship. I like it. -
Woven Cartridge Loops
Warpe replied to Lobo's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I like doing that method myself. Nice guide Lobo. -
The measurement given by Twin Oaks is the standard most of use. I have also tried the stitching after molding, and have had good luck, but still prefer to have all the stitching done prior to molding. That's me. It doesn't hurt to be comfortable with both methods. Also, when building a pattern, be pretty accurate when transferring your stitch line to your leather. That has caught me a couple of times.

5" 1911 Shoulder Holster
Warpe replied to Josh Ashman's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I have yet to take the plunge in making a shoulder rig. The hand stitching is well done! I like the set up. -
For dye applications, two common methods are airbrushing and dip dyeing. Airbrushing gives you a lot of control over the application, while dip dying is all in the timing of how long you leave it soaking. Finishes are well documented on this forum and there are many ways of doing it and everyone has their favorite.

Loaded Chamber Indicators...
Warpe replied to Jeff L's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I have not run into an indicator that protrudes to the point that it causes issues. I mold as i normally do. Anyone else run into an issue? -
Small Of The Back Holster
Warpe replied to Warpe's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
The trick as stated by Russ is to get it between your hip and spine where there is a natural indentation in your body. With the butt facing forward it avoids the normal press of a seat against it unless it is a bucket seat. I have yet to find a comfortable position for those type seats. Thanks workingman. I will post a pic when I get back. Out of town at the moment. -

Nice work. The pattern is well balanced throughout. -
Built this one for a customer to his specifications. A deep ride but very comfortable holster. Especially while sitting down.

Been away for a while getting my business up and running. Here is the latest holster I made for a customer.

Face Book.....good For Marketing Your Leather Business?
Warpe replied to Rayban's topic in Marketing and Advertising
I have just started a website for my business (Gallant Gunleather) and did a lot of reading on the value of Facebook. As stated by several, it will get you orders that you may not have ever gotten. The one thing to do reseaech on before you put out any money, is their paid advertising. Depending on your needs, it can be nothing but a money pit, but for others it may be cost effective. Make sure you run the numbers on how much each like or visit is actually paying you dividends. -
Hey all. I have a holster request for a Taurus PT 940. I know they used to make a blue gun for that model. Does anyone know where I can get one now or a model that works? Thanks

Never thought of the hammer......the most universal tool out there. I will have to try that the next time i get tracks. Thanks.
