  1. Like others on here I am looking for a tree for my first and likley only saddle. I have been in the leather business doing all types of tack for several years but have yet attempted a saddle. I have rode many different saddles over the years and have decided the tree I would like to attempt is a will James tree that Billy Cook saddles used. Does anyone know about this tree or where I could find one? Thanks Dink
  2. I would be willing to try and help you out, holsters are not my speciality but with the right combination I think we could make something work. Dink
  3. I do custom clicking with your die and the average price is dependant on size but are in the range of .75 to 1.00 per click also depends on volume
  4. What all is the Standard Equipment? Stand, motor, is this the servo motor? everything that is mentioned in the attachment you included? ready to sew? Is stitch length adjustment easy? Can you find shippimg cost to Larkspur Co. 80118 Thank You Dink
  5. I had the notion to start doing silver work along with leather, Great idea just not enough time. So I now have the following items to sell, make me a REASONABLE offer. Foredom variable speed powergraver that used to belong to Gary Wiggins (new this is around $450) And a set of Jerimah Watt video's 1. Cowboy engraving 2. Cowboy Silversmithing and 3. Cowboy bit and spur making. (this set was $350) I will do the best I can to answer questions, but I have watched the video's once and have messed with the engraver less than 5 minutes, I had no practice material to even put it on. I do know it hammers and makes noise, and the motor speeds the hand piece up and down with the speed adjuster. This is a flexible shaft machine that has all of the manuals, an upgraded hand piece, and a couple of graver knives in the box, though they do not appear very sharp. Dink 303-660-9026

  10. Nick I have no idea about the hand crank clicker, But I use dies from Texas custom made dies thay are very good dies and reasonable, unless you want something very elaborate, I have seen very few dies over $100 and many in the $30 to $40 range. I do not have their number handy but can get it if you like. If interested, once you get your die made. we click for $2.00 each. Dink

  12. Just an FYI for anyone who uses clicker dies, I have been using a new company to make dies. The dies are very nice, sturdy, sharp, and well braced. Not to mention they are very reasonably priced. Highly recommended Texas Custom Dies 1-888-755-9025
  13. Thanks for the info, it may come down to trip to colorado, Or I wonder if I was to provide an inventory and pictures to a select group of people for opinion and credentials. Maybe this could be done through the mail. Thanks Dink
  14. My insurance company wants an appraisal on my shop and machinery. Does anyone know who or how to find someone that can do a knowledgable appraisal on leather machinery and tools? Thanks Dink
  15. The bright colored ones are for rodeo competitors, these two pair specifically Bull Riders. They add flash and action to the ride, as well as providing some leg protection. The brown hair-on ones are called chinks they are primarily used by open range cowboys and buckaroo's who wear a short (just below the knee) length chap that provides leg protection are some what cooler and easier to maneuver in. The high top cowboy boot is then relied on for protection of the lower leg and calf area. Hope that makes sence and thanks for your reply Dink
