I was wondering if any of you Guys or Gals know where I might put my hand on some of this material. It looks like a woven nylon to me but I am just guessing at this point. This came out of a Tandy kit TIA, Chris

Update: I just went to the glass shop last week a 6 x 4 piece of 1/4 plate glass rounded and polished on three sides will run you about 20 bucks. The wood handle I plan on making out of Cherry wood, I will plow out a 1/4 wide by 1 inch deep channel then apply clear silicone at the bottom the the channel. Let sit for 24 hrs and I should be good to go.

I try to buy everything possible from the U.S.A. I still believe buying in our country help feed another American family. That whole global market only does two things in my eyes 1. kills jobs in my country and 2. Makes people in my country compete with wages from people in other countries who live on $2,000.00 a year or less.

I just finished my prototype last night. It has a piece of spring steel from rivet to rivet and I filled the thumpin' end with steel shot. I am thinking about promoting it as a body massager.

I have two rolls of 1964 Tandy leather that were still sealed in the Tandy shipping paper. Of course is is as stiff as a board I was wonder if there was any way of bringing this back to life so I can tool on it. Did they even Veg Tan back then? TIA, Chis
