  8. all very helpful but I think part of my question was missed, What exotic skins can not be ,,ie: glued to a backing/ vegtan or bridle and finished with the normal burnishing process fraying, roughness, no smooth finish or can the all be burnished/finished like 2 pieces of leather and or what is necessary to make the more difficult skins finish well and what skins require special processes
  9. 11. Also check with the Leather Machine co and Toledo sewing both supporters, here ck look at top banners Steve LMC is near you, west coast and might have a good option at a fair price, close, top notch service and support after the sale very important db ALSO Very important before you buy Clearly define your current use , it will change and vary over times light weight only 6 oz or less or heavy bags like a messenger if you can narrow the range,,, better chance for best first choice as you develop your style/ selection you WILL find the need to add more options to do bigger/ heavier material if you choose to and add a heavy sewing then also cylinder arm machines You can add a table for flat use as well as ???
