Had a little rabbit's fur that I wanted to make somthing with, and thanks to a friend from another boards posting of a pattern, I came up with this:
Think I will tell the grand kids that the easter bunny will not be bothering them again.
You are right about the tightness of the pattern. It should work great for a leather like deer or elk that naturally streaches. I modified the pattern by following some instructions from another source. I measured the circumference of my foot at the widest point and added 1/2 inch. that became the width of the M. Then folded it in half and followed the tutorial. I also lengthend the T cout on the top.
Soles have always given me trouble. This first set will be for around the house as slippers so no sole is needed.
I made a very simple bush hat using the following steps.
1. Measure your head and on a large cardbord cut a cirlce the size of your head.
2. Cut a second circle 3.5 to 4 inches arround your first circle.
3. Cut a 4 inch wide strip 2 inches longer than your head size.
4. Sew together -- I didn't skive the sides and it worked well for me.
I sewed the crown part inside out like the video above and then sew to the brim. The last thing I sew is the strip ends in the back of the hat. With it being 2" larger than your head size just cut it to make it fit.
5. Dye hat to desired color
6. Finish using a good water sealant.
Hope that helps.
This is my first attempt at a computer bag. Not as easy as a sporran, Square corners are fun. I learned to count and recount holes on each side, than count again.
I still need to touchup the edges, but let me know what you think.
A simple solution is to go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy two of their 12x12 concrete paving blocks and a 12x12 granite floor tile. Glue the Granite to one of the concrete blocks and stack the pair onto the other concrete block. Whole set-up should cost just under 10 dollars.
I went to Lowe's and bought two 12x12x1 cement patio blocks for $1.50 each and then went to Home Depot and bought a single 12x12x.5 marble flooring tile for $5. A little construction grade glue ($5) and my tooling block is solid and reasonably quiet. I owe this design to someone here on another thread.
