All good info above,we use latigo on all of our motorcycle products that we manufacture and it will hold up very well for you.Belt latigo may just be a finish,or maybe it runs very even in the thickness. We buy 40 -50 hides of latigo every few months and a lot of these fancy terms are just marketing BS..

Need A Class In Using A Heavy Duty Leather Sewing Machine
Itch replied to grafiks's topic in Getting Started
Knowing your location my make things a little easier.. -
We run two 441 clones and put a lot of time on both. One is an Artisan and the other is a Sewpro..We try to oil them every 8 hours of use.The only other tips I would suggest is that you keep the shuttle area cleaned and lubed..I would suggest that air in a can stuff for just blowing out the dust that you get from the thread and material. If the machine ever feels like it is binding,or sounds like an old Panhead with no oil..Check this shuttle area for junk such as pieces of thread in this area..

My Amish buddies use a foot press that will cut the end and punch 5 ,or as many holes that you wish..It may be available through Beilers.. -
We use a glue pot like you mentioned when we are applying glue to a big area.Check Weaver or Beilers..If you would like something that is not near as messy get a plastic squeeze bottle with a point on top..Like what they use to keep on the table of a restaurant..Good Luck..

Shrinking Thumb Breaks?
Itch replied to George B's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I have over 60 molds and most of them are blue guns. Some run a bit smaller than the actual firearm..You did the right thing by telling him to wet the leather.Usually if I have the same trouble I will tell the customer to wet the strap make sure the firearm is unloaded and put a thin plastic shopping bag over the firearm and put it back in to the holster and close the thumb break.Let dry. -
I would suggest that you have some elastic about 6 inches or so in the back..That way when you bend or reach they will not fall of of your shoulder..I have a pair that I use on some heavy leather pants that I ride my motorcycle with in the winter..Good Luck..Google images is your friend.
