We have been very lucky and have had a lot of work so it was time to purchase another sewing machine. Our table machine is a yamata that we use for softer leather like chap leather. This little machine has always been a little work horse, and is very fast.A couple years ago we bought a Toro 3000 which has done us well. With the amount of work we have been putting out I felt that it was time for another machine so My Amish buddies have been using the 441 sewpro with very good results. They have about 8 in service at any given time,as they really crank out a lot of harness..I hope to be able to give you a good review in a month,s time after we have put some time on it..

Barontool Co H-D Stamps #860, 856, 857 = Pot Leaf #209
Itch replied to casull45450's topic in Old/Sold
Do you have any Harley stamps or the pot leaf stamp..Thank you My name is Larry email Larryxd@gmail.com -
We go through a lot of hides with every thing that we manufacture and that translates in to a lot of cutting with utility knives and blades. We sharpen a brand new utility blade as we find them dull when they are new.We use a piece of natural leather not the flesh side and rub it with bees wax and then push aluminum oxide powder in to it with the blade..This is usually followed up with jewelers rouge on another piece of leather..A well sharpened tool makes all the difference and is a pleasure to work with..Good Luck.

What Do You Put Under Your Leather When Cutting?
Itch replied to Annonymouse's topic in How Do I Do That?
We cut leather on those cutting mats that can be purchased at almost any craft store. They are all marked out in inches and have some cutting patterns on them. For doing any punch work we have those pound boards..Keep your tools sharp and they will treat you right.. -
Nice work, looks like you have some time in those..We make lever fringes for motorcycles but have a clicker die to cut them out with..All of our motorcycle products are made from Latigo leather..It holds up very well in the rain and sun..
-
That is some very nice work..
