Ray I seem to have trouble posting as well.I saw the picture you had in another post.I have one that is very close that I purchased from an Amish man from New York state that manufactures them.He does not have a web site or a telephone. If you email me I will try and find his address. If you have any questions about how to operate it just holler..
  7. That looks very much like the machine that I bought from a gentleman in New york .I can not find his address at the moment but if youyou emauilt tools for the leather industry.
  8. I would like to know what they use on a Milt Sparks holster ? You can drive a truck over their holster it is so stiff and the finish is very nice..
  9. As far as I know they are not available..But I think the only difference from the 238 is that the 938 barrel is 3/4" longer..

  12. I would look into a 441 clone..We have an Artisan Toro 3000,and a Sewpro 441 They are both work horses and we do not baby these machines at all.
  13. A lot of the hides that we buy for making belts are 20-23 square feet and pretty clean.Usually figure 15-18 pieces per hide..Good luck
  14. We deal with Standard Rivet for that sort of thing..
  15. I have been told just last week from FNH THAT THEY ARE THE SAME..Let me know if you ever find a mold please..
  16. I would bolt the head down to 3/4 plywood, and build a box around it..
  17. For us it is a matter of turning scrap pieces in to profit...There is no such thing as scrap pieces..We have large and we have small pieces of leather..Good luck.
  18. We use a Little wonder, and a Heritage foot press..Both are great to have in a shop..
  19. Honestly even with 2 handles I dont see this working very well..We use a big hydraulic press that works very well..If you are not doing a lot of production, why not just beef up your die with a piece of flat steel and tap it with a rubber mallet or so..I think you get the idea ?
  20. There is always about 10 on ebay,at any given time..
  21. We use the same staples as mentioned above with a foot press..Works very well.
  22. Weaver punches are not cheap but well worth the money..Quality and I think they will sharpen them at no charge..
  23. Look at sheets of ABS plastic..Can be used as a stiffener.
