The only real concern is vapors from toxic substances that are found in some glues, like Barge Cement, or things like lacquer finishes. I have a 3M vapor rated respirator that I use for that or airbrushing. Most everything else is fine, although some folks are sensitive to spirit dyes. As was mentioned before, ALWAYS wear a respirator while sanding leather. You don't want that stuff in your lungs.

Bluesman, I have the Douglas groover too. Its a great tool. I like the Marlin for long straight runs and the Douglas for curvy stuff.

Jeff, the guitar has snowflakes on the freeboard and green abalone purling. Who am I to say no? BDAZ, I charged $250.00 for this strap. Bluesman, I used a Marlin stitch groover to make the groove. It cuts a nice channel

The customer wanted green snowflakes. The color matches the guitar pretty closely, but it was difficult to do from a picture.
