  1. Thanks! I try to learn something everyday and you just filled today’s quota.
  2. DJ1935 I just noticed that your a female, sorry about the “junk” comment in post #2.
  3. That's not good. But perhaps if you could round up enough buyers on your end you could import enough of it to make it a profitable venture for you..
  4. I don't know what it is but keep this in mind. Most other countries use tanning chemicals that are dangerous and illegal in this country. American leather is expencive but it won't make your junk fall off.
  5. Don't feel bad, apparantly I can't spell "braket"
  6. Thanks!I kinda sorta thought this is how it would be. Thanks Steve! My problem is shorter back stitches. So I would shim the bottom of the braket?
  7. You didn't mention what machine you're using, but I have the same problem with a Techsew 3650. Like you I've tried everything and finally just gave up and I roll the machine by hand for back stitching.
  8. When one of my days goes bad, I just take a day or so off to break the pattern of bad luck and bad decisions.
  9. 2 pieces of 3/4" plywood matching your foam. 4 large C claps will do but the cheap clicker press that Weaver sell is best. About 300.00 bucks. I've also done small holsters with just a bench vice.
  10. Yes a 3" XD 40 is the same size as the 3" XD 9 and eaither casting will do for both guns. The new XDS is a much smaller gun and needs it's own casting.
  11. That's one Beautiful rig!!! Don't feel bad, I still ain't figgered out how to start a gallery
  12. The Techsew 3650 HD isn't really a holster machine. I have one and it's very hard to get into tight places. An American dealer for this type of machine would be: http://www.tolindsewmach.com/cb2500.html A better choice would be: http://www.tolindsewmach.com/cb4500.html Alltho I have never used one of these machines if I were going back into holsters I'd go for the Cowboy 4500. The 3650 is better suited for belts and the like. I had to lighten up the presser foot spring to minumize the feed dog tracks on belts. The Tippmann Boss is a good holster machine but not worth a flip for belts.
  13. I sometimes hide my stitch ending by using a loop of thread laid inside and across the piece where I'm guna back stitch to and on the last stitch bring the thread out the side between the two pieces, pass it through the loop and cut it short enough so it wont come out the other side and them pull the loop thread out and the ends will disappear in to the center of the piece.
  14. You'll be able to cut longer straps from sides than single bends.
  15. I would recommend talking to Bob @ http://www.tolindsewmach.com/ Very nice person and will give you honest advice.
  16. I've been useing HO 6/7 sides on concealment gun belts for years. Weaver has tannery run, Springfiel has B grade. Both are hit and miss.
  17. Beautiful!! That belt is screaming for matching holsters for all your guns.
  18. Well, I guess it would depend on what you expect for quality. The holster appears to be made for a compact or a sub compact and the gun appears to be even smaller possibly an XDS maybe ? Remolding a holster for a similar size gun can sometimes be done but remolding a holster for a much smaller gun will look horrible and will not keep it's shape very long without also adding more stitching. I would rather see you get the right holster and send that one back. If you can't find the right holster, have one made. There are many holster makers right here on this forum that will be happy to accommodate you..
