Excellent work....great attention to detail! -
Interested in the edge glazer made by Campbell Randall. They say to use the edge glazer with the product - Fenice edge paint in at least two coats to achieve a clean, smooth "only way to professionally finish" chrome product. Before I make the purchase. ..... Does Anyone have some words of wisdom to share? Thanks!

Nice job....clean work! -
Looking for a product to use on chrom. tanned leather to finish the edges that appears to have a buildup to it when dry. I have tried Fiebings Edge coat and the leather Fence Edge paint. Even with multi coats the results are attractive but do not have the build up I am looking for. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Single Phase Into 3 Phase Converter
Fat Dog Leather replied to Yanni's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Again the only way to run the 3 phase is with a converter which is the more expensive and less effective way to run the machine. Either the servo or single phase are your better options. The connection you are attempting is feeding 2 legs of voltage into 3 legs and cannot be done. Folks come into our shop with this request and there is no easy way. ....my paying job Is an electric motor repair shop. Good luck. FDL -

Cobra Class 4 Top Stitch Not Laying Straight
Fat Dog Leather replied to McLestergl's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Thank you all for the great info.! -
Wiz, Was out of town on my paying job and just got to seriously work on my tension problem tonight. Finally the stich looks in line with the knot sunk down..... Much adjustment on the springs - moving them in unison 1/2 turn at a time with paint on the nut to keep me straight. Your assistance was much appreciated!!!!!! FDL.

Using 277 top and bottom, 200 needle. This combo has worked excellent for me up to this issue. Is there a way to reset to factory setting or point zero for these two adjustments. Again thank you.
-
Wiz......thanks for the words of wisdom. Tried your points as listed above, during my efforts I did not adjust the bobbin - did verify the direction and using the same needle with no thread problems. As it stands now both adjustors are wide open with little tension - the knot sitting slightly deeper. Will attempt 5 as listed with a less frustrated approach this morning. Once more thank you!!

Wiz help please! Sewing on my cobra 4 up to recently with perfect tension on 6oz material. Today it is out of wack with the knot sitting too close to the top. Adjusting the tension springs I have put it out of adjustment apparently not moving both spring at the same rate. How can I get it back into sync? Would greatly appreciate your advice. Fdl.

Possibles Bag Assembly Sequence?
Fat Dog Leather replied to Ian1783's topic in Patterns and Templates
Just a suggestion to view the u-tube "how to" from Arthur Porter, there are several good ones.....very detailed explanations on bag assemby /construction. They could no doubt lend themselves to your project. It always pays to think in advance two to three steps down the line. Good luck! -
Jim ....looking forward to putting this to use ASAP. Interested in other patterns you would like to share! Much appreciated!!

Attempting to sew a strip of soft deerskin inside out so the seam is on the inside when reversed and not visible. The problem is when I attempt to do so the band will not pull through right side and I damage the material. Looking for any assistance.....thanks!
