  10. Well seeing that your wife has no clue as to your shops worth...Might I make a suggestion that you give it or will it to some "up-start" that you see as having great promiss as an artisan or craftmen/woman. A talented person who has the will and drive to go into the leather business but because of funds could never afford to build up a tool collection. Take me for example. I do leather as a hobbie for personal reasons...gifts and just cause I want too. I have never charged for other than the kit or belt blank. Sometimes I get a few bucks but that's it. I buy my tools simply for the design and totaly balk at the idea of any stamping tool over $10.00 . Yes as a professional hair designer I won't blink an eye at forking over $700 for a pair of shears to cut hair with. $200 for a flat iron or other hot tool. This month alone I have spent right at $2,000.00 in classes. I know that when I decide to retire that my collection of shears and razors will be given to some young hot shot that I see the burn and desire in. Who knows...maybe when I retire I'll set myself up doing leather and hit all the trade day and craft fairs and end up buying some of those $$$ stamping tools! Just an idea and my 2 cents worth. Kev
  11. I need to either win the lottery or find a sugar daddy. Gawd this would be nice to have. http://tinyurl.com/36zajh Kev

  13. Mark of a true artist when they can take something most would throw out and turn it into something useful and wonderful. Kev

    first basketweave

Thanks Ken. That lace took forever to do since I hate doing that double loop. That is also the piece that is so old that the holes in the leather tore apart. Thanks Luke. Both are done in med. brown antique and the dyed edges and background around the oak leaves and concho is chocolate brown with a black sharpie feathered out from the beveled edge of the leaves. Finished with the Super Sheen. Kev

    first basketweave

So the little car trash bag thingy is the first thing I have ever done basket weave on. It was also my attempt at carving oak leaves. The wallet I just finished a few moments ago. Kev

    Introduction

Welcome Mike! There are some great artists and craftmen/women here. I have learned so much just surfing around the older posts here it isn't even funny!! My ex boss and her husband has a "weekend" home there in the trailer park at Lake Tawakoni. There are some great artists out in that area I've met and heard about. Kev
  17. Such great work...I thought I was the only one around with "KK" as a signature that did it back to back. Guess if I ever get popular I'm going to have to do my middle name too... a "T" with the two K's back to back on it. I have to wonder how much a stamp or a brand would cost to do that. Kev
  18. WOW...thanks for the pics! Now I know I'll never be entering anything EVER!! LOL Kev
  19. $100.00 or 10% Which ever is greater. Clearly printed and posted and on the receipt. Amazing how many will find cash or a credit card. I also have a sign saying "In God I trust...All others pay cash!" Kevin
  20. I must say I really like the "snowflake" design! Kev
  21. I've been asked to do a Ropers Wallet with an elongated concho to be placed on the upper edge. Is there a magic number to the placement of it? The concho is from TLF #7733-10 and of course the wallet is TLF #4044 Kevin
  22. Great, awesome work! Ok...so is it a big secret on how you did the woodgrain or is it something you would share with us? Kevin
  23. *Puts on bifocals and hunts for mag-lite* Those saddles are so COOL! I would of never of thought of that for those miniature horses! You know your niche. Kev
