It may be a touch of a drive, but Zack White leather in Ramseur NC is an amazing place that has just about every type and color of leather that you can dream of, the place is huge and the staff very helpful.

First Watch Straps
scootinnc replied to Neillo's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
I think they look great. My question is about the Swatch watch. I thought they had the 3 little "bridges" on the top and bottom of the face where the pin goes through and connects the band to the face? All of my Swatches are old, so maybe they have changed this design. If not, how did you handle that? Any close up pics of the Swatch band connection? Thanks, Joe -
Have you come down on the price yet?

Wow, very nice stuff! -
Well, I have received my custom made awl handle and blade and have to say that I am very impressed by the quality and detail in this new tool from rawcustom. Once I figure out how to post a picture on here, I will do just that. I cannot recommend him enough, and I love my new tool.

I have no idea what you should charge, but I was just getting ready to ask you about the hardware when you stated that it was one of a kind You did a great job stitching, in my opinion. Do you have a double stitcher or did you run it through twice? Also, what is your blog address? -

Matt, Thank you for the incredibly thought provoking post. I have to say that I never quite looked at this subject in this manner, so thank you for the fresh insight.

Wow, that is gorgeous. How long did it take? Also, what is the name for that cross/X stitch and how can I find out how to do it? I know, rookie question, sorry in advance.

Love the U.S. Army snaps, where do you get them? -
I too, just recently acquired a Juki 1541 and have not used it for much yet as I have been waiting to get my new (slower) motor and speed reducer from Raphael's. I now have the parts and will be installing them tomorrow. I am mainly sewing softer, 5-6 oz leather for bags with mine. I appreciate any info anyone (especially you, Wiz) would care to give about this machine and it's abilities.

Backpack Project: A Few Questions...
scootinnc replied to ninovoa's topic in Satchels, Luggage and Briefcases
I find that the two bottom corners are the hardest areas to get the stitching correct in. Does anyone have any advice to getting the corners to look smooth and correct?
