Ice bear riflesling
Spider replied to TomSwede's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Dude this is cool. Funny but cool bear. I like it. What black did you use on this? I'm having trouble with my eco-black. UGH! -
These are nice. I didn't know what they were for till you showed the second picture. It's funny how so many thing we don't know about but need are made of leather. It's just awesome when you can decorate even the smallest things.

This is simple but looks nice. For a member that has some mad skill with leather this is a humbling thing to show. Thank you for keeping it simple sometimes. -
Good work. I like the design and you tooled it well. What are you gonna do with it now? maybe a patch or album cover?

Biker Wallet First Attempt
Spider replied to ericluther's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
I have to say that I like the wallet. Great first attempt. A bit harder hitting the tool, maybe a textured beveler and you can pound the stitching down to flatten it out and you should be proud to show this off. Maybe make the stitching a bit tighter next time but you're doing good. -

I like your tooling but the color is really standing out to me on the album. -

Looks good. Keep making stuff. Kits are cool as a more simple project that allows you to focus on the art. At least that's how I use them. -
yeah it sure looks like it. Thanks. There is gonna be a taiko convention down here in Cali soon. Not exactly sure where and when though.

Such a cool design. Love it.

I made this case for a Taiko Drum player/bad ass musician I like. It was fun to make with it's little challenges. The second strap (small one) is to mount the case to the Taiko handles. The inside is lined with a black and red Japanese print silk material. If you have MySpace look for Cava for her music.

Clutch Purse from Tandy Coin Bag
Spider replied to Spider's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Yeah TF I'm not one for doing the traditional stuff as I have to put something in it to make it mine. Skulls, webs cut off limbs..... Something. Thank you Sasquatch, I apply my color with a sponge brush and spray with water periodically to smooth it out. The fire was all brushed on. Yellow first then orange around the flames and then red as a touch up. I also put desert tan dye on the left over space in the flames behind the yellow. Diana no problem. We all love having people from different places post their work here. It is a blessing we have. I used the Tandy Cova colors for the flames and cherry for the body of the purse. The bubbles were 3 different seeders from Craftool. I don't have the numbers now but can get them for you for sure. Just start with the largest one and then the medium one and then the smallest one to fill in the gaps. It's fun and random to do. Be cool, Spider -
Clutch Purse from Tandy Coin Bag
Spider replied to Spider's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Thanks everyone. This design came from her request for a Phoenix. She just didn't know what to get. So I did my thing and now she might even get it as a tattoo. Go figure huh? What flattery. I'm gonna deliver this on Friday when I go to Vegas. Sooo stoked. Tom drink up anyway. I'll share my diet coke with you.
