It hasn't been a bad market, I found a local store who bought 10 off me and another store in BC who bought a few plus misc sales here and there. Over all I've been happy with them as a product, easy enough to put together and quick enough when people order. Belts are hard to go wrong with. . . lol

I've been doing a few, though lately I think I might be finding a bit of a niche in dog stuff.

He wanted something to go with his new bass.

strapworks carries them, though I ended up using some curtain rings I found. I'd have ordered from strapworks but being Canadian the shipping just kills me unless it's a big order and I didn't need enough stuff to justify it. The ones I ended up with are powdercoated steel so I'm happy that they'll be suitably durable and they weren't expensive.

I made a slip collar today for a client. Sourcing black 1.5" o-rings was a nightmare but the rest was easy.

Airbrush your dye, buff, airbrush your resoline mix. Ive been battling for 2 years for consistent dye effects, got an airbrush and boom, no more issues. Especially using the Tandy waterstains.

Yup. Yup I do.

Using Tandy pro waterstain: Spray evenly with light brown, use toothbrush to splatter medium brown and immediately wipe with wet sponge in downward direction. Put medium brown on sponge, wipe downward to add larger grain sections. Air brush knots in medium brown (in future use dark brown fit knots and dagger strokes). Resoline

Thickness varies between 5 and 9 ounce depending on the number of layers, size of the dog etc.

So I have a client who wants a dog collar made in black on black. Black hardware, black, leather etc. She wants it 1.75" wide and I'm having no luck finding someone who carries black 1.75" buckles. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks folks. They work well and were a great way to use up some misc leather we had laying around. Plus $5 for the wood, hit it with some dye and boom good to go.

What do you do to finish your edges? They're gorgeous.
