  2. Oh Lord Freak, now I have a mission. LOL! She loved it btw.
  3. Here is the matching Belt to the Harley Quinn Mask. Sadly, I am not a photorapher. I am very pleased at the tiny detail in the faces. Sorry but the blurr from my lousy photography does not do it justice. Batman is in the middle of the belt with the Joker near the Buckle end and Harley Quinn near the holes.
  4. Hi All, This is a gift for my son's girlfriend who loves The Characters of The Joker and Harley Quinn. She loved it and there is a matching belt as well.
  5. Now that is a work of ART! Bravo
  6. Sorry guys,It hit 78 degrees here in Md today. BUT< I teach so we would rather have a snow day! LOL
  7. Ok. sorry for this Jordan , but the first thing out of my mouth when i saw this was ,"Oh my how cute is that?" LOl, ok, i know , but it is from a female point of view. it is great! Very summery and very KEWL!
  8. Roo, Thank you for posting the tutorial. If am a fan of your masks. A true sense of Art and Form complimentining one another. As for your son, and your trickery , Good for YOU!. Sometimes they have to be fooled to see from another perspective. Ahh, the education of our youth, they do not come to it easily! lol. I aslo agree with others, it is an expensive craft, but I think the most rewarding. I too have trouble photgraphing after some paints are applied. Looks like photography classes may be next! Sigh, more money. lol Thank you again, kimber
  9. looks like the next generation of leather worker. Great idea and very good work. Maybe i will get the twins pounding leather. 5 is not too young!

  15. Thank You Linda,Tom, Beaver,Kate, Xoth, and Spider. You have all been very kind in you words. Well the customer came to pick up the vest yesterday. He was so happy he was dancing around the store and even cried. He even had me shaking, i was afraid that he would have a heart atack. ShotgunWillie was there and said he thought the man was going to wet hiis pants, and has nicknamed my customer Tigger, because he was bouncing all over the place. LOL, well i guess i have another satisfied customer. i have to tell you though, i still do not like this piece! Thanks for all of your support. kimber
  16. Hi Kate, These are arcylic paints. With a dye background. I am still waiting on the customer to arrive. Biting nails here.
  17. Thank you both. The customer's wife saw it last weekend before it was finished and she loved it. Let's hope he feels the same. Maybe this guy will start a new Gothic Unicorn trend ,lol. As far as drawing and coloring Tom, i have always had an eye for color. Decorating is a hobby and you ahve to know coclor for that. As for drawing, hmmm, that is a matter of opinion. i just love leather i do know that !
  18. Thanks all, and yes, i agree , this Unicorn looks very very evil. Like Kate said;"i have never seen a unicorn with fangs before". Tom , the coloring was a collaboration of what the customer wanted and my own ideas. He wanted it to look metal, hard, tough. The issue is how tough? So instead of just gold and silver as he suggested , i darkened the silver to a pewter color and used the various shades of bronze as well.i did not want him to look just black so i aged him a bit to make his evil more pronounced. The grays blended with the blacks help to make him seem more grizzled, as anger and age as a combination often does. He is picking it up today. i will let you know what he thinks. Have a great day all. kimber
  19. Ok, so this is the Gothic Unicorn Commision I had talked about. Now mind you I have never before seen nor heard of a Gothix Unicorn, but as they say , "The Customer is ALAWYS Right" . This started out that he wanted it on a motorcylce seat and then decided it was to be on his leather vest. So, here it is. I like the finished product if not the idea of an evil unicorn. kimber
  20. Tandy kits are famous for that stuff. Fortunately i never use the lacing they provide. Either it is too weak or i pull too hard. Don't get me wrong , i use plenty of Tandy products, just no kits and never the lace they provide. I am lucky enough to live close to one and do not have to order off line. As good as the Kangaroo lacing is , i still have had a roll that i threw out a window cursing Tandy to the heavens.
  21. really great work Frog. I just was given a commission to carve a Gothic Unicorn and attach it to the seat as You did. Any suggestions on this application. I have never done the attachment before. The leather seat that is on it now cannot be removed. Any and all help appreciated. Thanks , kimber
  22. Excellent work! I love that background tool. It is my favorite. Nice application using the dye instead of paint!
  23. John , Sorry for your situation. I live in a very small place. and I tool a great deal. I have found that the best , toughest and most portable work bench is , believe it or not, a wooden fold up tv table. The ones at Walmart are small and portable , but tough enough to take even the hardest pounding. I use mine for everything. I agree , it is small, but it is tough and works well. It must be one of the solid wooden ones. They run about $10. - $15.00. Good luck and happy portable leathering. kimber
  24. Thanks Spider, Luke Hatley had exactly what I was looking for. I will heck out dBarleather though. kimber
  25. Hey Gary, As always your work is impecable.I love the feather technique. Perfect for an Indian Bike. Was great seeing you at Tandy today and thanks for giving me pointers on my work. kimber
