  1. I hear rumblings of a friend who may have an older Tippman Boss for sale. I guess they are weighting their options before pulling the trigger!

You up for buying it Sam? Get enough of those T shirts sold and it's on :-)

Nah....not for me.....I usually post them for our guild members. I like to hand stitch my projects. Since I do not do too many, I do not need a machine.

  2. Very nice work you show there. Welcome to the forum!
  3. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  4. Give Hidecrafter's a call. I know that they carry Barry King and a few other makers.
  5. Well said! Thanks to all those that have contributed even if you post your contribution here or not.......Johanna and her staff will know who stepped forward. Happy carving!
  6. That is a sweet looking rig!
  7. Welcome to the forum Roy! You should feel right at home here no matter where you come from......we speak the same language...................LEATHER!
  8. You can do a 'search' (top right hand corner). Type in the words 'tools' or quality of tools. There have been quite a few posts about other tools on the market. As for your first question, I am sorry, I cannot help. Good luck
  9. Please accept our condolences for the loss of your mother. I hope the memory of her work will live on with those who have received them. Many blessings
  10. No problem. Thanks for the comments.

    Lifters

You carefully lay the toe of the tool into your swivel knife cut where you want the leather lifted and strike the other end with your mallet. Good luck.
  12. Both of you are awesome and your support is certainly appreciated! Thanks.
  13. Texas custom Dies...................Ask for Heather. Good luck.
  14. Send the administrators an email with your request. Probably get your information pretty quick like. Good luck
  15. Jeff............sorry to hear the news but you know best what is good for you. I hope you are able to part with your items accordingly. I wish you the best luck in your endeavors.
  16. I would prepare and send a certified letter with copies of your records demanding payment to the company and CC the Better Business Bureau. In the letter, I would include a notice that your time put chasing your money will be added as extraordinary fees to your claim if they continue with non-payment. Your time is worth something. Chances are if you pushing to get paid I am sure that your contract time is done with this company. Small Claims is an options, but this notice and letter will be part of your evidence that will assist you if you happen to go the court way. I do some contract custom work on occasion from three operations and I request payment on delivery of the item. I do not start any new projects until payment has been made for the previous orders. If I do not know the operation, I request 50% down with the delivery of the leather. If they are not reputable to start out with a good gesture like this................well............move on! Side note: I also stay far away from demanding customers...................I mean way too demanding......................like down to the exact spacing for lettering..........just too much trouble for me...............there is no fun in it. Either way, I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get paid
  17. I was looking over the membership list at the bottom of the forum page and noticed a lot of members that have not contributed to this site. I am a contributing member, but most important is the amount of knowledge, tips and techniques that I have learned from this site alone! A few word lashings in between here and there didn't hurt either. I guess what I am saying is we need to support this site as best as we can. I am sure that all of this information, pictures and utility bills cost money. Sure the sponsors help, but it is never enough. So here is what I am requesting....................for the remainder of May 2011................I would like all those old and new members that have not contributed to "hit" the PayPal button on the home page and send LW $5, $10, $15, $20 or $50 dollars for the summer months. Come on, a bottle of soda and chips can be sacrificed one time to support this site? This is a challenged to all non contributing members.........................we can do it! Let's surprise Johanna with a crazy amount before she returns to the office from the Sheridan Show!
  18. I took the liberty of contacting the seller regarding these tools. Apparently, they belonged to a her recently deceased cousin and was selling them on behalf of the family. If anyone is still interested, I have the following information. "Unfortuntely I'm not set up with Paypal. I would take a money order through regular mail including shipping and then send it." The following is a list of the tools: All say Craft Tool Co except for 2
  19. Ditto! Two applications applied correctly will hold until the world ends!
  20. You know, Barry King sells them for $25 plus shipping. It would be probably cheaper since the BKs hold there value, I mean I wouldn't sell it any cheaper than that. Just my opinion. Good luck though!
  21. I found this eBay ad if anyone is in the market for a patch machine. Starting bid is $300. Pick up only! http://cgi.ebay.com/Singer-Treadle-Leather-Sewing-Machine-/300558842589?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45fab3fadd#ht_500wt_1156 Note: not my ad, but thought I would share it for any PA members.
