  1. Rounding off those bill slots is a good idea. I'll have to do that next time around.
  2. I got the acrylic pattern from a company called MakeSupply in Philadelphia. The web site is: www.makesupply-leather.com. They have an array of really nice pattern of which I own several. Here is a pic of the front of the wallet. It comes in 2 different styles.
  3. My wife benefits from my love of leathercraft once again. Every time I get a new pattern, by her request, she gets the first one off the assembly line. She gets a lot of use out of this veg tanned long wallet I made just over a month ago. I recently started applying leather dyes with an airbrush as I did with this wallet. This has become my favorite way to apply dyes and coatings because of the good looking results.
  4. Thanks. First time I tried edge creasing and as you said, it adds a little extra.
  5. Sweet looking bag! Very Nice!
  6. Made this business card case from an acrylic pattern I found on Etsy. It's made of veg tanned leather that was hand cut, hand dyed, and of course hand sewn. Wasn't sure how this thing would come out but I guess it did alright.
  7. Beautiful work! I get tired just looking at all of the stitching you had to do. Well done!
  8. Your mom is just going to love this purse! I just started carving/tooling a bit myself, and I must say your work has inspired me really start getting serious. Excellent job!
  9. Good looking stuff! One of my goals is to start making a few more holsters. If they come out anything like your work I'll be one happy camper!
  10. Beautiful work! I'm sure the wife will be happy.
  11. That's really nice work! Puts my first tote bag to shame. (lol) Beautiful!!!
  12. Thanks! There are a few YouTube videos, classic books, etc. I've been studying lately that I think will up my game. Just seeing some of the beautiful work posted on Leather Worker has really motivated me towards improvement. Appreciate the support.
  13. Been here since '06 and knock on wood we've been lucky so far! Thank you for the welcome.
  14. Beautiful Bag!!! I must learn how to do that some day. Fantastic work!!!
  15. Beautiful work! Love that color combination! Looking to make my first belt within the coming weeks.
  16. Here's a veg tan bifold wallet with my makers mark stamp. Still working on perfecting my hand sewing technique. They say it will all come in time!
  17. I have a neighbor that works at Florida Hospital. We live in the Kissimmee area. Did your daughter have to relocate because of Katrina?
  18. Thank you for the warm welcome! Yes, I have to say I've spent countless hours chasing down a circuit or two on aircraft schematics. Years ago I acquired my General Radiotelephone License from the FCC. When I worked for Northwest Airlines it was required back then in order to do avionics work. I used to spend weeks at a time in Romulus at the Detroit airport going to school for the airline. I got started about a year ago doing leather work by walking into a Tandy leather shop and asking how I would go about making a holster. I've been hooked ever since!
