  1. Go here: http://www.thescambaiter.com/FORUM/index.php Scamming on eBay is greater than most people thing....
  2. Hilly, the admin has a place in the admin panel of the board to censor language and replace anything they wish to censor with anything they wish to replace it with automatically. My guess is that the initials are censored for search engine reasons and as not to piss off anyone more than they might already be pissed at the success of this site. As I was taught as a child.... Dont start no sh*t and there wont be no sh*t..... But I have been wrong in the past, and no doubt I will be wrong again in the future... only Johanna can honestly answer why it is censored....
  3. With all the "How To's" on this site, it isnt really easy searching the site to find instructions and how to's. So I wanted to make a suggestion.... maybe take the "How Do I Do That" section, and add sub forums to cover all the different types of craft ie; motorcycle, jewelery, masks, saddles, adult fetish, and so on and so forth.... along with the current discussion area. Then gather up all the How To's and instructionals and put them in their prospective places. I think this would make it so so much easier for us to find what we are looking for, and we can find that something isnt there, we can ask for it instead of searching, not finding, and asking, when it was buried on the 3rd or 5th or 12th page of the search results. Just an idea... And more work for you all I know... so kick me in my butt next time ya see me...
  4. Thank you Darrel 0.80 cents per complete snap is a little high.... but I have an email in to them asking on pricing for 50-100. We will see. I didnt think I would find them cheap....

  10. Is there a guide to measuring the raw leather before you braid it to make it an exact size once it is braided? Say i want a finished bracelet that measures 6 inch, 1/2 inch on each end normal, and the inside 5 inches would be braided. I know that the leather would be shortened once braided so thats why i am asking. Thanks
  11. Heather, How log was each strand when you started?
  12. At Age 80 As most of us will remember her:
  13. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bettie Page, a 1950s pinup model who helped set the stage for the 1960s sexual revolution, has died. She was 85.Her agent Mark Roesler says Page died Thursday night at a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a heart attack nine days ago. He says she never regained consciousness.Page attracted national attention with magazine photographs of her sensuous figure in bikinis and see-through lingerie that were quickly tacked up on walls across the country. Her photos included a centerfold in the January 1955 issue of then-fledgling Playboy magazine, as well as controversial sadomasochistic poses.Roesler says Page had been hospitalized for three weeks with pneumonia and was about to be released when she suffered the heart attack Dec. 2. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Let's Remember And Say R.I.P. 14. LOL, I love it when the wife saves me money!
  15. Not sure, not glossy... I have gotten some in black that was real thin, and it was glossy, but this isnt, just smooth on both sides. Why pay $50 for something that I will only use once or twice for small stuff when the wife liked the pig and it was only about $15.00? LOL.... She saved me allot of money...
  16. Is this considered as a Suede? It is very smooth on both sides.....
  17. My wife asked me to make her a checkbook cover for Christmas, but she didnt want it to be made out of thick leather and all the vegtan leather I have is 5oz or thicker so i took her to Tandy to check out other leathers that they had on sale. She picked out a 12sf piece of pig split that was selling for $1.50 a sf. I didnt know if you could carve it or not, so i took a piece and played with it... looks like you can... Cool. I like the feel of it, and I can decorate it... Anyway... below is a pic of the CBC after carving.... The question I have is... does pigsplit take spirtit dyes well? And if so... what finished does it take well? Can I treat the leather as if it were vegtan? Thanks

    Pebbler?

I own both the hidcrafter and Craftool "pebblers" and neither are as nice as Bob Beards....
  19. I had a friend years ago, he was a master welder with the boiler makers union. He carried a "man purse", but it wasnt a conventional man purse.... it was an army green canvas ammo bag. Not sure if it was from the US army, or over seas, but it had loops on the outside for shotgun shells and two or three zippered pockets to hold all his other stuff. As a guy, you automatically saw it as a man purse, but because it was apparent it was an ammo bag, no one would ever say anything to him about it.
  20. I have some leather that was given to my by a friend who works in the furniture industry. The leather is upholstery leather. Beautiful OxBlood color. Good feel. I got some ink on the finished side and decided to take a little Deglazer to it (deglazer is Aceatone right?) and after rubbing for less than 20 seconds I noticed the finish was coming up as a skin away from the leather underneath. Man was I pissed... I played with it and saw what I beleive to be vinyl. The top finish is vinyl... I then turned it over and applyed the aceatone to the rough side of the leatherand the vinyl on the smooth side came right off. Have anyone of you ever came across this? Is this normal for upholstery leather?
  21. murse, Just upload each pic directly to the site. Then the site will make large thumbnails and we can click on them and they will open up and we can get in and see the detail.
