  1. I agree with you on the right side -vs- left
  2. I like your coasters and baseballs - also I have an ancient coaster I used for practice with the first custom stamp I ever ordered, its rectangle, but same weight leather as the round coasters - and I use it for my coffee cup and I have no issues with it, its aged beautifully.
  3. We had bought a custom stamp from www.lasergiftcreations.com (not a maker mark) just a stamp my wife wanted. We sent the design and spoke with the lady who created the stamps(Sorry I cant recall her name, its was like 3 years ago) she created the stamp and sent - Very very good customer service. Once we got the stamp I statred testing it and realized there was an issue with it, I called the lady back at www.lasergiftcreations.com and talked to her and the issue was just a part of the way the Delrin stamps are created and there are some clean up issues that she handles on each stamp made, we discussed and the options were : 1. Send the stamp back and she would clean up issue and send back (That is great customer service in my book) 2. I could clean up the issue and if I caused any damage to stamp she would create a new one and send it to me. (Thats another sign of great customer service in my book) So I took a finger nail file and ran it lightly ove the affected area 3 times and we have never had any issues with the stamp. I would highly recommend www.lasergiftcreations.com for any stamp creation ideas.
  4. Absolutely - Lay that veg tan on your driveway or sidewalk and have a go at it, or work it with gravel. Easy Peasy distressed leather look.
  5. Funny,,, my 91 year old mother told me she was within 2-3 years of finally knowing everything.

  6. You can just imagine my expectations after I saw the back pockets you carved on that stage coach bandit a bit back, But this is actually pretty cool. (consider that me giving you a hard time from someone you dont know for the day) Thank you for the images (Consider this my thanks to you for your downloadable images)
  7. On 09/07/2012 You will have my vote, I really like the eyes !!!!!
  8. It really depends on your leather weight, as to gluing it down, - Just use some painters tape on the back and you should be fine. Gluing would be more usable when tooling a wallet or a lighter weight VT - a belt will hold up better to tooling. Good luck and lets see a picture when you are done.
  9. Sweet layout, it looks great and looks very functional. Got my ACE250 for birthday, now I need to work on a pouch like this. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
  10. I would recomend GorillaPod - The Flexible Camera Tripod by JOBY - you can find them on the net from $15 - $20 and then use your timer if the camera has a timer, you get much better photos, but in due time - I really am enjoying watching what you are doing with the horse eye project - very impressive, I spent the weekend in East Texas, little town I spent many years in back in the day. Only 1000 folks live there so its not that small but it has a great community spirit - but what I saw a whole of were the younger girls were wearing ring watches, in all kind of designs. I dont know why that caught my eye - but it did and after that I started looking for them on hands.. lol - So I can see what you are trying to do if I follow along. Keep up the great work.
  11. Prayers are being sent from our family to Paul's - I was very fortunate to have him share his knowledge with me.
