  1. You want to use something like rubbing alcohol. A cheap way to go is to try the blue windshield wiper solvent, test it out on some scrap first. You are going to want to mix the paint in a seperate container, and strain it before putting it in the airbrush cup (old panty hose work well). Try the paint thinned to a consistancy of about milk.
  2. Look forward to seeing the insulated bandolear for the case of longnecks.
  3. I give myself about ten inches of thread from the top and bottom. I knot them togeather, and when I go to start a stitch line put one finger through the loop, then wrap it around a couple of fingers and start stitching, and that seems to make up for the lack of beginning tension.
  4. WOW! Eye opening. Thank you.
  5. Those are very beautiful, after I saw your work I wanted to see what else is out there, check out Sue Walters http://www.suewalters.com/, some other good stuff. Burning oneself is definatly not a HA! I did a bit of stained glass when in junior high, using stuff out of my father's scrap box, I've learned about irons a time or two. Keep pushing out that green envelope. By the way, thanks for the recomendation, LOVE Nighthawks At The Diner.
  6. GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!! I picked up a "woodburning hobby kit" a couple of weeks ago, to work out a few ideas I had. Far enough off your style that I won't feel That it infringed upon your piece. Which, by the way, always something to look forward to opening up.
  7. Off the top of my head, rub the inside with some 120 grit sandpaper. then start rubbing in some Gum Tragacanth. Someone else mentioned a piece of canvas on an arbor in a drill moter to work inside areas, and that sounds like a winner to me at the moment.
  8. I could see the metal in the drop loop, from the function POV, it looks good. You might want to bone the interior, and wax it to cut friction.
  9. Looks good from here. Is it stiff enough for what you are looking for?

    Very Nice
  11. I love old Smiths, but not the prices for the models I like (N frames). I keep my eyes open for a holster worn model 28, I saw some a few years ago, shouldn't have passed on.
  12. Thats still a nice shooter, it perked me up.
  13. If it was minty original, you probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. Sounds like a great shooter from here. Is it a triple lock, or second model?
  14. Forgot to ask, what model is that N frame?
  15. It's not horribly hard, just practicepracticepractice. You can get patterns and designs.
  16. I see nothing to laugh at, I think you are probably your own worst critic. Looks good from here.
  17. That is motivating me, un be leav able, I'd been thinking about embroidery, but that is another level.
  18. I was referring to the fact that we call it a 2X4, and the water drains in the opposite direction. I kinda free form and free associate my way through life. Enjoy your heat, it's a little below 0 c here.

  19. June 16 is winter for you isn't it? I'll Have to through down one for you too, and one for your health. How's a good IPA sound?
