Not embarrassing. We're always learning. (Not to mention, I don't even know the answer, so you're not alone!)

      1. keep it razor sharp. 2. Keep your hands behind it. (or suffer stithes) 3. Straight cuts or curved cuts depending on skill. 4. Skiving/thinning leather.

The "circumstances" vary, only constant is keep body parts out of the way - that's a lot of exposed blade.

I've actually seen a fella mount his to a table and then move the leather (hey, it worked, so...)

  6. oltoot, I would really appreciate a photo of your gussets as well as the tie downs, I am making my daughters Christmas bags and need all the visual aids I can find thanx Geo

  9. i recently went through this search, Luckily I was able to locate a special fx company and had them make me copies of two of their face forms, the following is a link to a face casting kit, there are several tutorials on the web for "life casting" and "face casting", this is the only means that I have found to get a facemold of the appropriate size hope this helps

Super nice, do you lace or rivet it to the helmet?

  14. Being an avid gamer I couldn't help myself. Quick explanation for non gamers, In Dungeons and Dragons, the player guides his character through a story, a well played game can resemble a novel. The players roll various die to determine a random number to resolve actions in the game... I hope this makes sense, Anyway, one of the most reviled die in the game is the 4 sided die, this little pyramid of death has hidden in shag carpets and damaged geek feets for years. So, this is a 4" leather 4 sided die, I hope you guys like it, I had a ball making it. There are several other unusual dice in the game and I am going to try to reproduce them over the next few weeks Thanx Geo

  19. I have orders for three!!! some changes, need to create a button type latch for the top, what works well for paper does not always translate to dead cows, also need to make a classic loop and D-ring attachment points for strap, and I need to take the time to properly dye and edge finish the strap..... have been asked to line the thing with a cloth All-in-all, it was a lot of fun and a quick project, just go to your local chinese takeout and grab a box! I modified the box a little and will post a picture of it tomorrow, night all Geo
  20. Hmmm, General Tso Chicken is so good for China King in Republic, MO. But, looking at the box, this is a cutting template! 45 min later... It was fun, but needs a redesign to be ready for prime time.
