Ive done several iwb holsters. But i didnt even know what a "claw" or wing was until a good customer asked me to make him a appendix iwb holster with a claw. I found a great claw at holstersmith.com solid aluminum instead of all the plastic ones i seen. And i went with the ulticlip xl for goin over the belt also picked up at holstersmith for less then ulticlip sells them for on there website.

Uploaded to the gallery... the latest IWB tuckable concealment holster out the door. Looks good. Carries solid. Conceals great. Wear comfortably. Retains gun perfectly. I'd give ya the link to the video, 'cept fer THERE AINT NO VIDEO AND - THE LARGEST pocket holster I've ever made, cuz that Glock 29 is 7" long, and WHO GOT POCKETS that big anyway?@?! Added an extra screw higher up, due to the "flop factor" in something this vertical... he'll probably take the high one out 'n' pitch it, but it's there if he wants it.

Just finished up another holster for a customer. IWB for a Walther PK380 pistol. This was my first style IWB for a pistol. Started on it on Sunday, drew up 2 or 3 different templates before coming up with this. I think it looks pretty good for my first one like this. I have done a revolver, but not a pistol.

Hi, just thought I'd ask and see if anyone happens to have a pattern for an iwb holster along the lines of an alien gear, or crossbreed type of holster that would be suitable for "tucking" a dress shirt for a ruger sr9c. All leather, no kydex. Thanks for any help

Hey All, Brand new to leather and could use some serious help! I made a double magazine holster (very first project that I didn't scrap) but totally spaced on the belt loop on the back...dumb I know!! But that got me to thinking...How do I install a belt loop without cutting it apart and sewing one on? I was thinking of putting IWB/OWB clips on it as an alternative so I could use it both ways but could use your expertise!! Keep in mind I am BRAND NEW and hand sew still and have very limited tools.... Thanks in advance!!

I have been CRAZY busy with my college classes, and therefore not as busy with my leather working. Still, I've gotten a few new projects completed. I'm still working on the Glock 19 holster project, but it's for family and they told me to take my time. That project is nearing completion, however, and I have also made a new holster and mag pouch for my personal concealed carry. As always, critiques are welcomed as long as it's constructive :-) I used the gun as a starting point for the pattern, but then drew the rest by hand (with the help of a curve ruler) This particular mag pouch is for my trips to the range, and not daily carry...though it is comfortable enough I could do so.

Hey guys, first post on the forum. Was hoping to get some critics and pointers on how to improve. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Any help you can provide would be great. A huge thank you to Woolfe, I studied his tutorial heavily when I got stuck.

I just made a inside waistband holster and not sure why it is coming to a point out at the end. Is there a different way to do the end so it doesn't do this? Thanks!

I've begun making holsters and gun leather on a hobby / someday-business basis. It's gone well and I've started making holsters for friends and others. I'm getting ready to start my first IWB holster, and wanted some input on the best way to reinforce the top strap so as to make it stay open for re-holstering. Does a rawhide insert work well, or will I need to get spring steel or some other insert? I've heard some people use pallet banding, but does that really retain the shape well enough long term?

These are a couple of holsters I have built for a Smith & Wesson M&P .380 with the built in Crimson Trace laser. I would love some feedback on quality, design, and anything else that needs attention. The Diamond pattern holster is designed to catch the pocket seam on the draw so that the holster will remain in the pocket (so it would have to be drawn to the rear). I'm also having some trouble with the belt clip staying still. I could drill another hole and use two screws, but I kinda like the option to tilt the gun in belt to which ever position one likes. I thought about adding another piece of leather between the clip and the holster. Feedback is appreciated!

Hello All. Its been a little while since I posted any projects. Here is an Inside Waist Band (IWB) holster I just finished up that has shark skin accent on the belt loops. The credit for the style of this holster definitely goes to Galco Gunleather. This is my attempt to make an IWB holster similar to one of theirs. I had a heck of a time getting the reinforcement throat wrap figured out and sized right. It does not have any metal or plastic sandwiched between the throat reinforcement wrap and the main holster like some makers use. I am not sure exactly what is used for that. This holster was made from 4-5 ounce leather, hand stitched and wet formed using my kydex press. The kydex press worked pretty good on the thinner leather. Thanks for looking!.......Rory

I have been playing with basic project for last couple of months, and my friend asked me to make him a IWB holster for his SIG. After lots of reading and research I sketched up a pattern that I liked based on other projects around, and gave it a shot. Made a mag holder as well and a double layer belt (haven't done stitching yet). Loops are held by DOT one directional snaps. Works great. Entire project was hand cut and stitched. Oiled, dyed, waxed and buffed. I am happy how it turned out. fits the gun real well. What do you guys think? I am sure there are plenty improvements I can do on the next one, but I was learning as I went on Let me know if you have suggestions or comments. I have more pics of the build if you guys are interested. I have documented every step haha.

Still hammering away, trying to learn this stuff. A special thanks to Particle (Adams Leatherworks)...I encourage any one eager to learn to also go and subscribe to his premium videos...they've been a BIG help to me over the past few weeks! Anyway...here's a couple fresh ones off my bench for a few side arms I had lying around: First, an IWB in Dark Brown for a Makarov 380, with a little border stamping and a FOMI clip that has since been replaced with a 1/8" black Kydex of my own design...the doggone FOMI clip kept breaking...L&L, I guess. Then, there's an Avenger-style OWB in Saddle Tan with white thread and basket weave tooling for a classic S&W 645. Immediately obvious with this one is the fact that I've GOT to get a belt loop punch :-) All of these were sewn on my Cowboy CB3200...still learning it, obviously, but its an awesome machine at a terrific price. As always, Thanks in advance for the insight! Chris

Hello All! I've been prowling around, in the shadows, on these forums for nearly the past year, gathering knowledge here and about...what a great community of craftsfolk! And always very willing to help us upstarts and rookies as we begin our own journey in this trade. I am most appreciative of the moderators, powers-that-be and professionals at LeatherWorker.Net for maintaining and contributing to such a powerful online resource...many thanks! Anyway...I've been studying and practicing and observing along the way and finally got a few things off my bench and ready for some critiquing by more seasoned eyes than mine. I purchased one of the new CB3200 machines (ol' Cowboy Bob @ Toledo Machine was MOST helpful!) but an unforeseen medical detour put me off track from using it for a while...all of these items are hand sewn. Hoping to get back at the machine in the next few weeks so it can earn its keep. Please let me know what you think. First, is a Dark Brown IWB holster for a 5" 1911, stamped border & white thread, with a 1/8" Kydex clip and matching snap-on double magazine holder. Next, a wrap-around style knife sheath in Dark Brown for a Buck brand gut-hook blade hunting knife, stamped border & white thread. Finally, a cheap flea-market/pawn shop knife gets a decent looking sheath - I actually used scrap veg-tan leather from a safety harness, dyed black and stamped with a tri-weave to hide all of the scuffs and scratches. Sorry if the pictures are out of sequence with the description...I'm still kinda new to this whole forum/post world thing! Chris EagleWoods Leather
