chuck123wapati Report post Posted August 29, 2022 I have scraps from knife making also. Hags got me thinking about how to use them also. So i made this kneck nife , kneck knife, neck nife lol. Fun weekend project. 4 oz , bison brown, French twist stitch. the knife 2" blade 41/2" approx overall with Deer antler . Hammered brass pommel because the piece of brass was to small lol. What was so interesting is i got to try a few new things both in knife making and leather without having to worry about the outcome, after all they are just scraps right. Those are "killa" for sure beautiful work you defenetly need to put that knowledge into some leather tools much more satisfying than buying the crap they sell nowadays. PastorBob Report post Posted August 31, 2022 Until the "scrap" goes into the trash, it is still something waiting to be made. Beautiful work @chuck123wapati!! I am gonna stick to leather for now. Have not dipped my toe into the forging of knives yet. Maybe I can talk you into sending some of that metal scrap (after you have done your magic on it) down this way. LOL. Again nice work Chuck! well thank you, on the tool i imagine it would this was actually my first time using it except for some practice and i got kind of lucky and the length of the stamping came out correct on the side so the pattern fit almost perfectly, across the top i could see it didn't fit so i just stopped after the hearts. i would love to say i planned that lol. DaveP Report post Posted August 31, 2022 Well, that was good luck and turned out great! Question...What's holding the end cap on the knife? Doesn't look like a through tang.
