AlZilla Report post Posted March 14 (edited) I can't quite understand what's being demoed here but I think it's a new servo that will do 50 RPM without a reducer. I don't think it's specific to the machine even though they're flipping a switch near the needle. I think it's just added there. It's a Hightex/Cowboy product so maybe @CowboyBob can fill us in? James1 Report post Posted April 14 Sorry, yes I installed it and have made several bags with it and am very pleased with its performance, however I have only used it on 2 layers of 5/6 oz leather so far. I will try to sew max thickness for my machine and see how it does. It was very easy to install and set up using existing motor mount holes, and my belt from the clutch motor fit the new motor. I am fairly new at sewing, so I can’t give a professional review, but I can say that it is night and day difference from the clutch motor, I have so much control now going stitch by stitch. I wasn’t sure how I would like the Needle position sensor, but I am very pleased with it and use it almost the time. My machine has a speed reducer from the clutch motor, but I didn’t end up using it because I can go so slow without it. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I am interested in having slow speed and NPS on my 441 but NPS does not play nice with the speed reducer installed so this may be the way to get there. Other pages mention that the SL is intended for light-medium machines, not listing the 441class and SH for heavy duty machines listing the 441class. I will reach out to them to try and clarify on this.
