Wow nice job on that sheath! I'm also wondering if that is hand stitching?

Good job sir! I like it. Did you buy the snake skin or harvest it yourself? I am thinking about some diamond back skin for a project myself. I like the way the rattle is incorporated into the bottom of the sheath. The Sweetwater Rattlesnake roundup is coming up soon so I may mosey over and see about buying some snake skins if they aren't too pricey.

No, it is not hand stitched. All machine stitched. I'll try to get some better pics including the back. I harvested the snake on my property and tanned it myself I just emptied my freezer by skinning 73 of them. The rattle is counter-sunk into the leather and is held in place with ca glue.

Outstanding job on the sheath. I've a rattler skin I need to do something with. his gives a an idea.
