That is amazing! Very inspiring for a newbie to see where, with practice and patience, you can go with this craft! Thank you for the inspiration!

too high a bas-relief for a wallet - rather a minus, because. increases the thickness of the product.

Good picture!  I'm with ya -- embossing doesn't go EVERYwhere.. some products should stay slim.  But this pic SHOULD BE a good illustration of the effect of tooling in the leather, what with the consistent burnish of the design in the BACK SIDE of the tooling leather, showing the use of moisture content.

That's the English (ish) version.  Translated to Russian below:

Thank you, @Willb2862! I believe that in the near future the same will sound in the commentary on your works.

You did a beautiful thing with the coloring too AB. Your carving work is great but the coloring on/inside the bud is incredible and the greens on both types of leaves is killer.

Thank you for compliment, @battlemunky!

I am also most pleased with how the leaves turned out.

I have long hesitated with the choice for this work - acrylic paint or alcohol dye. In the end, I decided to dwell on the dye, as it gave a half-transparent and slightly muffled picture. It seemed to me that overly bright and rich colors would make the wallet too flashy and gaudy.

I like your use of color.  Natural tones, understated, not GAUDY like some "painted" leather you might find.  And your use of multiple shades gives it a natural feel.  Did I already say I like it ?

After finishing, I got what I wanted - yellowing hop leaves and close to real color of roses.
Women's wallet "Autumn roses".

Subtle tones and stylish layout.  You prove again that "observation is 9/10 of the law" ;)

I like the finished product even better than I already liked the carving.

Those finished products look grand! They are amazing. I like them both and I love how you shaped the 'clip' (for lack of a better word) and incorporated that into the tooling pattern. Really really well done! Looks very professional!
