Blacksmith Report post Posted March 8, 2020 Very fine work indeed, be proud. Gorgeous knife too, by the way. That is Damascus steel, formed by layering two or more types of steel and forge welding them together to form a billet which can then be forged into a blade. I am a noob here, leatherworking is something which interests me though. Have been blacksmithing for years and wish to get into making my own knife sheaths.
