Members JayEhl Posted November 4, 2020 Members Report Posted November 4, 2020 Definite sculpture art. Frame it, hang it and put it in your office. Or it'll make a really nice Christmas gift. But I would keep it, myself. Quote
Members corkscrew Posted November 6, 2020 Members Report Posted November 6, 2020 Very nice. Great detail work Quote CorkscrewTom

Members bbass408 Posted January 29, 2021 Members Report Posted January 29, 2021 Can you share info on how one would even begin to do tooling like that. For a noob like me, I would love to just know where to begin. It is stunning. Quote
Members DustinSmith Posted January 29, 2021 Author Members Report Posted January 29, 2021 I use a 00 Barry King checkered beveler (the smallest size) to do alot of the detail work and I studied a picture of a real skeleton then used a very small checkered pear shader and lifter to get all the nooks and crannies, then used a micro filligree blade on my swivel knife to do the small decorative cuts Quote
Members spacedog Posted January 29, 2021 Members Report Posted January 29, 2021 Really impressive skills on this. Congrats on doing such an excellent work. I find myself wondering if you applied a dye around the outline of the bones, and if so how? Quote
Members DustinSmith Posted January 29, 2021 Author Members Report Posted January 29, 2021 I used fiebings medium brown antique on it to get that effect Quote
