YinTx Report post Posted November 1, 2020 A bit daring with the colors, but I think I like that portion. Not entirely happy with the tooling, but it's done! YinTx

Alaisiagae Report post Posted November 1, 2020 Looks terrific! The carving looks great to my eye - you got some really nice steep bevelling around the outside of the vines/stems and fowers. And I love the two-tone color, did you resist the tooled portion or use some other method? The stitching looks neat, I like how the thread matches the color of the tooled portions. battlemunky Report post Posted November 1, 2020 You've grown into this very well @YinTx. That looks great!
DJole Report post Posted November 1, 2020 Slick, polished work, with a good eye for the details... and the color choice is just fine. Maybe it's not your personal color scheme, but it's still nice design work.
kiwican Report post Posted November 1, 2020 I'm not a fan of the floral carving as a rule but this looks really good Yin!

I have done better than this in the past for sure tho. From 5 feet, looks pretty good! On 11/1/2020 at 9:05 AM, Hags said: So want to do florals! I'm working on it.. Best advice I can give is get after it! Takes a while to get it down, and I've wrecked a lot of leather to get something presentable... On 11/1/2020 at 1:05 PM, Alaisiagae said: Looks terrific! Thanks, especially considering it was about 3 oz leather. Two tone I did with red and black dyes, then resist, then my own concoction of antique, followed by top sealers. Had to dig in my thread and found some Amy Roke 632 in about the right color, glad you noticed the match! 23 hours ago, DJole said: Slick, polished work, with a good eye for the details... and the color choice is just fine. Tooling wasn't my best tho. 22 hours ago, kiwican said: I'm not a fan of the floral carving as a rule but this looks really good Yin! Thanks kiwi!
