  1. Past hour
  2. This is exactly where I live. When we travel, most locals rate their drive on I80 by how many accidents they pass along the way. Today it's only supposed to be"breezy." 13mph with 35 mph gusts lol, sometimes there isn't much time between gusts, but it gives you time to catch your breath.
  3. I would love to try it sometime, it would definitely be a good old day lol.
  4. Today
  5. Managed to get old fossil to work...needlebar height was not spoton ...adjusted the tension and the stitches locked nicely
  6. I purchased a Techsew Strobel machine and am struggling to get it to work as slick as I see the major manufacturers do it on YouTube. Just seeing if anyone had any tips or tricks? I have recreated Strobel lasts fairly accurately and have worked to create uppers, but it's definetly not as straightforward as doing a straight stitch. Thanks!
  7. This translates into English as the following: Good day. I got a machine, since I turned it on, the machine has become very hot and as if it is stopping. The belt is rubbing against the table and I can't see how to adjust the motor. Any advice? What is the make and model of the machine? Can you post a picture? In the picture, show where the belt is rubbing and show a picture of the motor under the table. Please translate your replies into English. Thank you. In Afrikaans Wat is die maak en model van die masjien? Kan jy 'n foto plaas? Wys in die foto waar die band vryf en wys 'n foto van die motor onder die tafel. Neem asseblief klein fotogroottes. Vertaal asseblief u antwoorde in Engels. Dankie.
  8. I did found this and will apply as stated..
  9. I´d check the needle bar height (needle hook timing) after 10 yrs the needle bar could have risen a bit and maybe you have to lower it a bit but that's just guessing. But needle bars rise with the time, that happens and is not unusual.
  10. thanx for the detailed response I am absolutely sure I have thread it correctly, I think the issue is with the take up spring just after it goes through the tension discs , I dont know how stiff it must be, with it been very stiff it still is not enough to pull the thread back through the material to straighten out the loop on the bottom of throat . I have used the following link as a guide but as said the tension is much stiffer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ0i2f-q0i4&t=185s
  11. I would cut some scraps of this new material for practicing, and make them 5 layers thick. See if you get skipped stitches. If not, mock up some joints like you will have on the seat, stitch them together, and top-stitch. The goal is to encounter the same situations as you will when you're actually doing the seat, without gouging a big piece of fabric. If you do manage to get some skipped stitches, then we'll have something to talk about :
  12. The bar was low. The old strap was considerably lighter color than the chapes, and it was dry rotted. I'm thinking it wasn't original equipment. The client bought the purse used as a Christmas present. He was happy with the color. Thank you, Jonas. I did sew by hand to complete both ends of the stitch lines. I will look into the Serabraid.
  13. Before you get some suggestions you need to tell use a couple of things. i) What size of needle are you using? ii) What size of thread are you using as a top thread and in the bobbin? iii) What system of needles are you using?? Typically for fabric type materials 135 X 17 X (needle size) and for leather 35 X 16 X (needle size). That said sometimes with certain types of vinyl you would use a leather needle. iv) How thick is the thickest part you are trying to sew?? The changes could range from incorrect top thread path, wrong size needle for threads, incorrect system of needle, dull needle or wrong needle for the type of material all the way up to replacing worn parts or re-timing the machine. If possible post a couple photo's of top thread path from the spool of thread to the eye of the needle and what you trying to sew. kgg
  14. Looks great. That will carry nice across the chest. Like a Alaskan carry rig.

  16. I have had a Juki LU-562 for over 10 years that never skips stitches when top stitching vinyl material. However, I started sewing a thicker version of vinyl like what would be used to reupholster a John Deere tractor seat. The supplier who sold the vinyl to me said that another upholstery shop said the material was impossible to top stitch without skipping stitches. So, what would you tell me to adjust on my machine other than replacing the needle? I like the material and would like to finish using it as I bought three rolls due to the price. Basically, I have no formal training on my machine or how to adjust it. I have tried to review all the Youtube videos on the Juki LU-562/563. Thanks in advance!!!
  17. Chuck, didn't know your state had a 'Wyoming triangle'! Wyoming Triangle Identified Along I-80, Officials Continue to Blame Wind While most Americans are familiar with the Bermuda Triangle, Wyoming residents have long suspected that the state has its own version and it runs straight along I-80. For years, officials have attributed the alarming number of semi-trucks tipping over and "taking naps" on the interstate to high winds. However, documents quietly circulating among concerned locals suggest that the real cause may be far more complicated, involving supernatural forces and possible alien technology. According to the findings, some vehicles lose stability not from gusts, but from mysterious bubbling gas pockets beneath the roadway. When released, the gas briefly disrupts a vehicle's buoyancy, causing it to gently roll onto its side, usually in the exact spot where drivers swear it was calm moments earlier. Disappearances along the corridor have also raised eyebrows. While officially classified as "relocations" or "missed exits," insiders claim that certain individuals were unintentionally collected by alien transit systems operating beneath southern Wyoming. The science connecting I-80 to the Bermuda Triangle is reportedly straightforward. When a straight line is drawn from I-80 directly to the Bermuda Triangle, the two align perfectly. If the line is stopped at the Bermuda Triangle, it vanishes entirely, something experts say is "extremely concerning." State officials continue to reassure the public that wind remains the only explanation and encourage drivers to check conditions before traveling. Meanwhile, residents are advised to secure loads, drive cautiously, and avoid drawing straight lines on maps late at night.
  18. I plan to put a leash over the hammer. Thanks for the compliment.
  19. That looks great, personally I would have had the leather cover the trigger, don’t want anything unintentionally hitting the go switch.
  20. I watched a friend shoot a buffalo three times through the lungs with a 4570 and it didnt even grunt. Then the herd started running and we had to take it down with a 338 ultra. So if your buffalo hunting, head shots are where its at. Sorry, Im just remembering the good ol days. LOL
  21. I have no idea if I did it right but this is my first. It was very easy compared to other holster styles ive tried so has me wondering if I did it right. Took me about 2 hours not including time waiting for dye to dry. Still needs sealed but I need to let it dry a little longer. Let me know if Im doing it wrong please
  22. At least it's a bit different. It's a sweet gun for sure, his is 45 70, it'll launch a water bottle lol. Thank you.
  23. If I understand you correctly, You are saying that the top thread loop that forms on the right side of the needle is still present as the needle moves up and the shuttle is making its second rotation. If this is the case, I think that you have forgotten to pass the top thread through the hole in the take-up lever! The path is to loop around the three hole pre-tensioner bar, then around the center of the top tension disks, then out the bottom of the disks to the check spring assembly - where you pull up as you wrap the thread around the spring and its channel until it snaps in place. From the check spring, you feed the thread up through a thread guide to the take-up lever. Pass the thread through the eye in the lever from right to left, then down through the remaining guides to the guide ring on the bottom of the needle bar. From there you thread the needle from left to right, making sure that the ribbed side is on the left and the cutout scarf side is on the right. Failure to thread the check spring correctly may also cause this problem as well as cutting the top thread as the needle descends.
  24. Tandy. But you are not going to get them for $2bucks. They are like $12-$14 each.
  25. A few minutes in CAD and hour print time. 2" wide 60 degree diamond stencil for topstitching fabric or leather. Marking pencil for fabric is needed, chalk would be too wide for the slots. Currently working on a quilted canvas and leather bag. File on Printables: https://www.printables.com/model/1561905-2-wide-60-degree-diamond-fabric-stencil
  26. Nice work. It looks great.
  27. Looks a lot better than mine. Those big boys are awesome! I've had two now in 44mag and even my g daughter loves shooting them. My newest lever action is a rossi in 454 casull and it's a kick in the shorts but the rossi isn't that impressive when it comes to feeding. The Henry feeds so much better.

Thank you Completed the tooling, since the HD logo was the main theme decided to just color it and let the rest be supporting elements.
