Chancey I dont have an old car, but I would love to....dad promissed me his old 53 Chevy when I was here in the eight'ies....then when I came back to SW Va 2 years later he had sold it..ohhhh well...haha Still looking after any old car, every now and then twisting my neck when one goes by...not these 100K fancy hot rods...just like you said...the ones with owners in it that have grease under theire nails and gasoline in their veins.... I breath old bikes but old cars are good for any day too... So here is my little old car/truck...carved in leather and ready to go on somebodies wallet...haha Maybe one of these days....when all is said and done, all college is paid for and da wife not buying expensive shoes...LOL Then, maybe then old Jimbob finds him an old rat rod.... Greetings Jimbob shoes

Well aware of this fact, Rod....I am born in Europe,,,,,I have seen my share of arabic writings....I was actually refering to the actuall backbone of the book...not sure what you call that....when you close the book and have it in a shelf...this part you see then ....it just amazed me how deep and three dimensional it is!! Great work, great craftmanship and I absolutly agree with you on the quality of the work!! Thanks for your edit.. Jimbob

Jimbob replied to chancey77's topic in Motorcycles and Biker Gear
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that is super fein!!! Man, just thinking of riding this beauty arround the block makes my tushtush bend,,,,,LOL Love the color, sure do......I like the seat to be huge, like a wide police seat......in tan, and the design would be in tan, bronce and this aqua...thingy....and abstract...? Yeahhh I would digg that too...NO cowboy scene here...heheee.... Nice, please send pics from finished seat!!! As we know you, you will knock this seat right out of the park!! Aloha... Jimbob -
Natural Finishes
Jimbob replied to Mannemal's topic in Dyes, Antiques, Stains, Glues, Waxes, Finishes and Conditioners.
Use a good coating of neats foot oil, not overdoing it....then let dry....get some Fiebings Aussie wax or some simular wax finish with (beeswax ) put it in sun light as stated and you have a wonderful mellow tan color, close to a well used cared for saddle.....beautiful finish....and it is water repellent too....!! tell us what you are planing to sew, what kind of things you gonna make in the future....that will help a lot.....I personally sell the Tippman, way to much trouble....the longarm is cool for large pieces and you can do smaller stuff too...assuming its a walking foot be my keeper!? And hey, it's a Singer....good reason to keep!! No clue what the other one is,,,> Send more pictures! Aloha Jimbob

Been doind some biker wallets here and there....I use 3-4 oz veg tan on the outside, but glue on a liner leather (abt. 2oz ) the inside is always 2-3 oz veg tan...sometimes I sneak in a 3-4 oz chrome tan piece for the last pocket near flap.... So pretty much the same as others stated here....if you need a cpy of a biker wallet template, PM me... Aloha Jimbob.

tnx Wiz... Been thinking about that....stuck small screw driver in there and tried to push blade of spring inwards....no gud,,,,do you recomend removing the spring only ( tight space ) or removing hole bobbin case...? Tnx James

OK, I have this real nice stone old Singer 211-155...in gud working order....never had a problem with it....now I run 138 on top ( mostly what I run for big biker wallets and such...) and often also 138 in the bottom....sometimes 92 in the bottom...for some reason I had to do red and found a cone of flame red in 69....so I run 138 on top and 69 bottom....works fine on thicker material...like 2 times 4 oz or so...yesterday I done a small thin wallet and noticed a birds nest on the bottom....check top tension...all the way loose to make sure knots in the middle of leather...then I checked the bottom tension...boy this thing was plum loose...I mean no resistance...tried to tighten it more...nada....all the way tight...switch to thicker material....all is fine, the knots in the middle and no birds nest...noticed when I go faster, it is getting better,,,,,when I use 138 in bobbin then all is well no matter what thickness I do...just need to adjust my top a bit here and there...often do 207 on top and 138 in bottom bobbin...works great on my bags. So my question is...is the 69 to small for this machine in bottom...? or do we have a problem here.... Any ideas are welcome. Thanks... aloha james
