OK, lets see,,,,I could draw/carve my wife in the backround of our unmowed yard, yelling loudly at me and waving a list of things she wants to be done by last week and me sitting by the pool drinking the 4th darkbeer and dreaming about flames, tan leather and chopper seats.....ohhhh and ever now and then I see Chancey in his winter coat in July sitting up there and ice fishing....ohhh and here is my phone ringing......got to go, they need me at work.....more OT...but I'll be back.... As been said, a granite block, good mallet and a large wet bi-folded towl under the granite works wonder!! Jim

Andy, that would work.....but big costs and lots of trouble....wonder what kind of knife you use....? If you have a sharp knife you should be able to cut every shape you want just fine.....try a German "Schuster messer" with slide blade or fixed.....have it razor sharp!! And sanding the edges wil help to finish it of nicely, little burnishing and a bit wax makes it perfect....(Bandschleifer...?). Practice a bit and you will be cutting circels around yourself in not time....I use a Round knife ,,,( Halbmond Messer....) works fine for me but needs practice.. Man Purse.....brrrrr....this word makes me sweat and studder....haha....but your work, your tooling and the design makes me look twice!! Very nice and clean design, great tooling!!! All in all a nice Purse,,,,mine would have flames and skulls....haha... Great work!! Aloha.... Jim

Wow, fancy thrones. I remember you saying something about some pink thing being done and you were on to 'striping and 'leafing, but I never would have thought of a toilet seat.

up's.....haha....I better correct that....pink thing was a girly backpack, finally done ( check my website....) ...striping and leafing a purple and a flat black toilett seat for a car show as trophy!!
After that back to the real world....black big dog seat with Aligator and flames!!

done left comment in gallery, very nice and detailed....only thing I can tell, is I would like to see his beard been little more prodent, like more detail in hair and curls...maybe....more fine cuts to give his hair and beard more texture....as I said before...very nice work! Aloha James

Nice work, heck of a rig you made there....few things to point out... It needs a liner, liner makes it look, feel and last better.....also your finish on the edges needs a little more...burnish and wax, then dye in a contras color....neat cartridge loops....looks good! Second the issue with the trigger guard.... Keep it coming and you will see....the next one will be even better than this one!! ood work!! Aloha... Jimbob

Go to threadexchange in NC, weaverville....near Ashville...they have a real cool website!! ( google!!) Great info on how to....what to use and when to use.... There you can find tons of colors in bonded nylon or poly....in about any size you will need...they also have small cones with 4 or 2 oz...very handy if you want to stock many colors....and yes, you put some beeswax on it and you can hand sew with this stuff too!! Hey, they even have pink....guess how I know that....my thread colection now contains way over 25 colors and I am having fun getting more...haha... aloha Jimbob
