  1. I got the angelus pens.... they work great, and for a couple bucks per. Aguycould do the same thing with a piece of felt, but this just keeps it a little neater in the drawer
  2. What's wrong with this picture? I don't need one, but always curious (plus, I wanted to see if it's ANY different from the little pens that angelus puts out). Google search took me to a fakebook page. Fakebook page says "request bob's web site' (or sum such), and clicking that gets a message "you have requested bobs site". Bob - seriously. Nevermind
  3. See, now -- I didn't even think of that. See if you got a couple threaded holes in the top of the machine, that would fit this roller edge guide... and let me know. I have one of these little roller thingies you can have if it works.. free is good, right?
  4. If ya gotter, that'd be awesome. If not, not the end of the world. I just want to either start the projects, or refund these boys' money. R E A L L Y am not going to be "that guy" who holds yer money for a month for nuthin' Did you just get that W/C? Wonder if there splitter gauge needs checked? I talked to Matt about it, told him I'd just keep this leather for other projects. But I still got some chestnut comin', and that REALLY REALLY needs to be about 7.5 oz.
  5. Yeah, gotta check.. mine was "supposed" to be 7.5/8 oz.. but not so much "Preciate ya. Cash or trade, no difference here. I haven't had the chance to snoop around this leather for a thiner spot... wench wife had me cleanin out the house of all the stuff i told her not to buy over the past 5 or 8 years ...
  6. Yeah, I'd wanna use the same W/C that one guy got before. THANKS for checkin' !!
  7. The wench wife is from New Zealand -- she has no idea the temps she's in for Already told her, might as well give away that toy snow thrower.. that aint no good up that way. But my boys are excited to see 60" fish, so it all works out (the musky around here top out about 52-55", and only a couple o those a year). I think she picked the house she wants ... so itza done deal now .... I could just refuse to go.. but she's kinda tough..
  8. Tha's lookin' like you done that before
  9. Off to the gym for a bit, but I'll check on this. Keep in mind, that trades are possible as well. Got what I need, but you need some natural HO? or buckles? or thread, or dummy guns, or patterns? Here's yer chance to really pad the bill... here's the one time you can price-gouge and not have me blastin' ya fer it
  10. well, no great "favor" really.. just not chargin' what some "retailers" (pronounced con-men-tractors) charge. A-grade leather I order in backs (no belly leather) is about $9-something, comes to right around $10/ft after shipping. No matter one way or another. If it helps a fella, I'll stick it in a box with a shipping label. If it dont' help a fella, I'll stick it in a box and put it on the moving truck.. Either way
  11. Or, perhaps just read these 45 words. Bob got a little 'conversational' more than technical, but the facts are all there.
  12. Thanks -- No trouble. Bunch o folks tolerated me blabbin' all this time.. otta least gitta pattern every now n then. I'll still have cowhide, and still be doin' what i do - just more fishin'
  13. Oh, and this is sold, by the way ...
  14. I got some 4 oz I guess I could line with some 3 oz if that's the only way ...
  15. I need some leather about 7.5 oz and I have some about 9 oz. What i want: Somebody SPLIT this leather for me, OR Somebody SELL me a bit of W/C black drum dyed skirting, holstered and split to about 7.5 oz This is to keep some boys happy who have already ordered. I could give them back their money, but they don't want the money- they prefer the holsters they asked for (that's why the ordered!) Some would say since I'm closing, doesn't matter - but I don't like to "do business' like that, even if it's not "for a business". I've been known to refer others to do the job(s) when I couldn't fit them in to customer schedules. I like seeing the customer AND the crafter gettin' 'er done! But this time not do-able. One of these is for a Boberg pistol, that i designed a while back. Designed for my buddy Robert (mecopocketholsters.com) so not up to me to share the design. So, somebody got the means to do one or the other IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO, just figure a fair price, and then DOUBLE IT, and let me know Not about the money. SO, if you got some as I described, send me a 2 foot chunk and a bill for what... $40? Call it $50 with the shipping? Gotta be pretty darn nice for that price, but if you got the good stuff, $50 is acceptable
  16. Lake Mille Lacs. Wife is moving to Minneapolis/St Paul area of MN, but I'll be on the lake She don't take no offense.. she knows I kaint passa good size mud puddle without stoppin ta see what there's a fishinthere...
  17. Not sure what's going on with them. I called to order one extra side - drum dyed chestnut. My order was moving along, so easier to put on separate order. Fair enough.. I get not wanting to go back and pick up the guy who was late when he said he'd be ready Couple days and I got an email with a tracking number. Then later that day I got another email saying my package had been cancelled,, tracking number voided.. something like that. Wait.. what??? Then I noticed the tracking number wasn't the same, so maybe the second package? It was being split, so maybe somebody was getting ready to send me skirting without splitting and 'caught' it? Just don't know.... Honestly, I didn't want to call and confuse the issue! I dont really "track" the shipping.. just figure the total cost of each side. It does seem that the only way(s) around this issue would be to stock enough of about everything that you are never waiting on a piece you need, or purchase a fast splitter, which doesn't take up much space, and buy skirting - or something heavy enough you can split all your needs from it. Keep in mind, I'm not intending to badmouth W/C or the people there. The sides I got were not split as requested. But it's beautiful leather, firm and solid, and I WILL use it. I'm currently whining like a school girl because I hate moving, it won't stop raining (flash flood type raining, spook teh fish type raining), and this leather was to make holsters for some repeat customers I'd like to see happy even if I never make another one. Wait, ignore that part about the school girl thingie.. I never said that ...
  18. I got some Hermann Oak you can have for about $9 / foot. I can ship it, or next month I'll just drive up there with it (twin cities area)
  19. She dont' work no hospital. Maybe ESCAPED FROM a hospital
  20. Pics too small for my eyes.. Try a bigger one when ya gitter done! $72 must be the popular number.. my W/C order was $70 shipping and was only 5 pieces (2 8oz, 1 4oz, 2 3oz). By comparison, 10 sides of HO 7/8 was $50-something shipping
  21. We'll glue yers ta mine, cut em in half, WAH LAH ...
  22. I have a new in box servo that I'm pretty sure would work for you. I bought it for the 206-rb5, but some gal talked me out of that machine before it arrived! Maybe one of these boys can confirm compatibility for you. You can save a bit, and I got one less box on the truck when i move I have this one.. never out of the package ($100 + shipping). http://www.leathermachineco.com/shop/brushless-digital-d-c-servo-motor/
  23. Just got an email from SLC. Ordered a couple 10pk of daubers.. nothing else. Didn't want to order dye, and have the shipping slowed down, since I needed these with teh W/C order to finish a few things up before packing. $4 for daubers $6 shipping and the W/C stuff aint gonna work Guy gonna do this very long BETTER have a sense of humor
  24. New in the box. I'm not interested in going through ALL this stuff I got or trying to sell it, but I will let this go before i move. I bought this over a year ago, but never took it out of the box. $100 + actual shipping (or pick it up, just as good) http://www.leathermachineco.com/shop/brushless-digital-d-c-servo-motor/
  25. Old enuf fer sum things, maybe not fer others. And I aint got no money. Losin' $5 on everything I touch. And when the IRS shows up, say it just like that
