  2. I'm looking to find more of these that are American made. I found this one on ebay and it comes from Thailand and it takes 5-6 weeks to receive them. They don't just have to be skulls I looking for anything. Also I saw a post for Ohio travel but they don't sell to public without business license. Thank you
  3. Here is a picture of the wallet I made from my customer he has a hot rod and music shop in Lake Elsinore California check out his facebook page (Grumps-Garage LLC). If your looking for old hot rod stuff he more than likely has it.

  5. Thanks all. I have another question for everyone ... I want to do more of these types of shows but for this one I went as a supplier for another company and in the future I want to go at it on my own. When do you need a sellers permit? Probably any time your selling something, but what are the advantages??? What I have gathered so far is this I can buy my supplies without sales tax but I required to pay sales tax on all my sales. Also California you can't buy sprirt dye but If I'm have sellers permit is it possible? any other thoughts here folks??? Thanks
  6. I dye with airbrush. First the non-black color then I spray the edges and feather the black up creating the fade.
  7. Completed my first show it was fun and profitable. Sold couple of wallets, belts, watchbands, key fobs, buck 119 knife sheath, and passed out around 250 business cards and talked to tons of folks. Hopefully some will contact me for some leather!!!!!! My phone died but I got one picture of my setup I shared the booth with a local clothing store in San Jacinto "Trucha"
  8. Thanks Bluesman I decided not to finish the ends prior to the show I'm taking a few tools and some dye to "fit" them to the customer. Hope this will work as this is my first show. Your thoughts?????

  10. Thanks everyone I let you know how it goes. I think I will take your advice IMmike and put a watch face in the watch band.
  11. Here we go again I think I have finished the wallets for the show next saturday finally!!!!!!!! I'm almost done with about 6 belts also. Any suggestions on what size is the best seller I made these for 38" waist and spaed the holes 3/4" with 6 holes each.
  12. Use a matting tool I don't have the number of the tool I use at the moment but everywhere in the background you push the leather down to create depth. The tool has a cross hatch pattern so it will create a different texture and the waves will really pop off the leather. An example is attached see in between the rays in the background and the space inside the cloak. This is what I'm talking about regarding matting. Hope this helps I tend to ramble..
  13. Those look good I might suggest that you mat down the background this will give you more depth. Just my 2 cents
  14. Thanks Legion I take a train to work and I'm on it for about 30 minutes each way so I use that time for lacing...also people always asking about the leather so I have made a few sales that way also.
