  8. I was curious how much one of these sewing machines was worth, i don't know much about them at all. I have never sewn in my life. But sewing leather really interests me and I have a line on one of these machines that was used mostly for personal/hobby use. The model is DLN-415 I know that it is self oiling Comes with machine head and table Has reverse, extra teflon foot, extra needles/bobbins and 110v motor Thanks in advance for any advice.
  9. I'm pretty new to this as well, however I use beeswax and a piece of denim my wife cut off her pants to hem them. I'm hoping to acquire a piece of canvas as I have read many times is better.
  10. I was hoping to get some direction on the finishing of the flesh side of straps and belts etc. At present my sewing and lacing is terrible so a liner seems out of reach for the time being (xmas gifts) I am having a hard time with the back side of projects. I tend to dye them as I like it better, however have a hard time with the fibers staying together and end up with flakey un colored spots on the back of straps and belts. I'm sure i'm overlooking something and was hoping one of you could offer some help. Thank you in advance.
  11. I have never used it before, and I have seen the name come up plenty in the short time I've been working with leather. I understand Neat-Lac is no longer available in retail but yesterday I acquired 7 unopened aerosol cans of it. I am excited to use it on my next project (small purse for my daughter for xmas). I'm hoping to get the best/toughest finish as my daughter is just about 4 so the purse will get bumped around a lot. Can you oil over Neat-Lac and is that a good idea? Is it better to oil/condition before?
  12. Yes, WOW. That is beautiful.
