I second sno-seal also the new (to my tandy store) Fiebings snow proofing paste. But honestly, if it's going to be a daily wearer for the dog, their natural oils take over anyway. You can't control that and their oils do darken leather so it doesn't matter there. Kevin

Here handguns are so restricted that only people that belong to shooting clubs, police and COs lawfully carry(maybe a few other groups). Members of clubs aren't even allowed to "carry" more like transport. I'd love to try my hand at making a holster or two but have no idea what the most popular model would be. If I were to even make a sale it would more than likely be as a display in someones home or potentially for someone to use at the range. Just looking for an educated guess at what the likely model would be for the most common. My guess would be a 9mm of sorts but unsure. I know it's be tricky to select a single model, just thought I'd query you guys. Thanks a ton as usual. Kevin

As mentioned you can see the processes running in the task manager. For windows based os you can stop things from starting up: click Start then Run then type msconfig hit enter, then click the startup tab. Stuff you don't want running just uncheck. click ok. yes to restart the computer, when it starts back up a pop-up window will open. Click the box that says don't show this on startup (bottom left as I recall. and voila. It doesn't remove anything from your computer, just stops it from running just because you started windows. Be mindful not to shut your AV or firewall if you have one etc. If you don't know what something is, google it. If you shut something you need later, same steps, but then just add a check instead of removing it. Kevin

If you are using Firefox, update it and disable all the addons. I had similar issues once here, it was an outdated/bad addon. Clear temp files and cookies etc also. Kevin

Good to see you Sixer, I didn't think to look for pyramid Rivet Setter. I did try google and found tons of the pyramid spots when I searched "Pyramid spot setter" but no setters. With that I'll keep looking, I think the craftool ones were discontinued some time ago and that site you linked hasn't been updated since '07. Appreciate the help. Kevin

Hi Everyone, I'm certain this is not something I am prepared to tackle both experience and tool wise. However a friend of mine wants to have this saddle repaired. In my opinion the seat needs to be replaced as it's all 1 piece. I have never worked on a saddle before. Would anyone able to comment and possibly suggest an estimate at what this would cost to have a saddle maker repair? Thanks, Kevin
