  1. This just happened to mine and it was like half of the jug had bread crumbs floating in it. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and it's a cold time of year here. I took mine upstairs and set the bottle on the warm air duct from my furnace and it came back to new in just an hour or so. Kevin
  2. I see that TechSew offers a speed reducer addon that wasn't available as an option a year ago when I purchased mine. I've been in contact with them and they will sell it with the belts needed. I was curious, have any of you have purchased one after the fact and added it yourself? Did you notice a big difference? Was it reasonably easy to upgrade your existing table? Thanks for any info. Kevin
  3. Tandy recently had some nice heavy suede split, deertan cowhide comes to mind also as a good choice. Kevin

  6. Browsing the new Tandy catalog, quite a number of new items.

  7. At the very bottom of the page, left side. It also provides options on what to mark read. Kevin PS. I like the changes, it's a common verson to a number of other forums I frequent. (hunting/fishing forums).
  8. I really like the carving, the bag looks very sturdy! Kevin
  9. Not my Auction, but I saw it browsing as I do most mornings. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Lot-Leather-Working-Tools-Craftool-Stamps-w-Stamp-Set-/200818317333?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ec1b45815 Maybe someone can use them. Kevin
  10. Heather Kinnick - hktxcd at aol dot com - Heather is an absolute delight to deal with. Good Luck, Kevin
  11. Anyone recognize the name of this company? Was it a tannery from days gone by? How long ago? I have come across some leather stamped with this on it and was curious how old it was. Couldn't find anything definitive via google. Thanks in advance. Kevin

  15. I'll take the "Glock 21 Rings" if you'll ship it to Canada. PM sent momentarily. Kevin
  16. Word of mouth sticks in my mind more so than banners. I appreciate reviews (positive and/or negative) when people post them. No need to overdo it, nor bash people for their support/opposition. I can, however, attest to how great BRL is to deal with and how great their products are! I purchased 6 different templates(based on the reviews from this site), they are all beautiful high quality useful additions to my work space and I am sure they will be around much longer than some of my other tools. They were great to deal with, great and timely responses to questions and beyond reasonably priced (templates and shipping). I will definitely be returning, also will likely have some of my patterns converted. Thank you, Kevin
  17. That is wonderfully clean and very professional looking. Great job, Kevin

    My Work Belt.

That is beautiful, what are your plans for finish on this project. Did you make the lace yourself? Kevin
  19. I haven't tried this...yet, but I was cleaning up my basement the other day and came across the kid's sleds and "Krazy Karpets" and looking at the Krazy Karpets (crazy carpet) my immediate thought was template material. They'll soon be on sale and sold everywhere (in places that get snow). I realize these may not be available to everyone, but I think they will work beautifully. The brand name ones generally run 5-6 dollars but there are knock offs for around 3 bucks. Images from google. I've been using cereal boxes and the like and manila folders. But they don't last. Just a thought, Kevin ps. I recently ordered 6 templates from blackriverlaser.com Joyce is an absolute treat to deal with. I haven't received them yet, but I'm sure they will be wonderful.
  20. Thank you all for your comments. Art, What would you recommend as a base min for air pressure? Kevin
  21. Picked up this badger at Michaels, they had a 40% off for signing up for email flyers. I bought the adapter hose and used my Porter Cable compressor from my air nailer. It has a built in regulator. I added an air dryer, is there anything i'm missing besides practice? I know it's a cheapie but should I be able to do decent finish/dye jobs with this model? Kevin
  22. One thread I've seen listed them as being available direct. http://www.dotfasten...ll_the_dot.html Hope it helps. I'm unsure. Kevin edit* looking closer, you can get just the males but apparently only by the 100s
  23. Benlilly, Another awesome seat! And green is my fav color! Cheers, keep 'em coming. Kevin
  24. it was actually another post of yours i had seen them in. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=41466&st=0&p=257971&hl=+strap%20+loop&fromsearch=1entry257971 there is a reply with the direct link to them in OTB's catalog Kevin
  25. I believe they call them strap loops, I have seen them, but can't recall where. I'll keep thinking on it. Kevin
