  1. I ttok an order for one of these holsters this weekend, now I need to find the gun as well. Worst case, wonder if attaching a rail to a 4" dummy gun would work?
  2. Looks great! I've achieved the same texture with a "pear shader" stolen from my wife's tool rack.
  3. Wow, it's weird to see my name on that list. You know, I'm only a little bit North of you. If you wanted to swing by for a few hours one weekend and huff contact cement I'll be happy to show you a few things. LMK
  4. I've seen this stuff in person on a number of occasions and must say that the photos do not do goodfella's work justice.
  5. Thanks all for the comments and compliments. steelhawk: The holes are indeed oval, and to keep them lined up requires a lot of tongue biting. It's tough but can be done. tennoutrider: Your experience with the Boss seems outside the norm. Some of us are just starting out and working off of a very tight budget. In those instances, the Boss is a very useful tool. No need to be a hater. chapelstone: I drew the billets up in autocad but you could easily do it with a roll of masking tape. If someone tells me how to upload a scaled pic I would be more than happy to.
  6. Hi Ethan, both of the belts shown are assembled from the Bridle Leather belt strips from Waterhouse Leather. They are a forum sponsor. The main body I left full thickness and the thin pieces were split just a little. Thanks!
  7. Jeff, I have a Duncans gun you are welcome to use for the cost of shipping, if you need it for a quick order,
  8. 34 inches over, 24 inches under, is the measurement the fella gave me. Glock 19 horizontal with retention strap and a dual mag carrier for the other side. I'm figuring on allowing 4 inches of adjustment each way on the straps? Do you think I will need a tie down on either side?
  9. I've decided to only use it as an inlay due to the edge issues. My latest set:
  10. I've never made a shoulder holster before, but I do have a Galco model here that I can study for ideas on building one. I have a fella who would like one for a Glock 19. He says he has a "large build" and in the past I have made him a 60 inch belt. What measurements do I need from so I can build an adjustable shoulder holster that would fit him correctly? Thanks Dan
  11. I use leather washers from McMaster-Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-washers/=eiuh6u
  12. yup, super soak it and try again. use carnuba wax if needed lol. doesnt cost anything to try.
  13. Anyone watch Terra Nova on FX? I'm really digging the rig that the leader uses for his zapper.
  14. Blackhawk has a railed 1911 demonstrater gun that also, as a bonus, is molded in the cocked and locked position. Best part is, theyre only about 20 dollars on a variety of websites.
  15. I will take the Sig 250sc Where shall I paypal the money to? Thanks!
  16. Grip down SOB holster... had a few requests for those, I wont make em.
  17. Not my holsters, but heres a few 1911's in leather with the exposed trigger
  18. Looks really good. I dont understand the need for 52 rounds of 9mm though lol.
  19. I just sewed up one each of a 60" and a 62" dual layer gunbelt. On the Boss. If you're running a high volume production shop, it might not be the way to go, fits in perfectly for me. I'd love to buy a Cobra Class 4, and was debating the one for sale in the classifieds for 2000, but I figure that money can be better spent elsewhere for the time being. Right now I can stitch a bunch of holster or belts on the weekend, then mess around after work for a few hours finishing the batch, then start over again next weekend.
  20. Exposed triggers dont bother me. On a 1911 I would certainly want a strap of leather between the hammer and the firing pin though.
